While it’s been announced that WWE will continually broadcast Monday Night Raw for three hours, the time slot they usually have for special occasions (think anniversary shows, etc.), instead of the usual two, TNA president Dixie Carter made an announcement of her own.
TNA will be going live over summer, starting from the 31st May.
“We are excited to take IMPACT WRESTLING Live! all summer long, and have our first Live! summer show launch our new 8:00pm/ET time slot,” says TNA President Dixie Carter. “Summer of 2012 is going to be remembered as the most momentous time in our company’s history-to-date. Stay tuned.”
I (Trisha) personally haven’t watched an episode of Monday Night Raw due to a lack of appeal in the first hour of the show. Well, that and the lack of Diva air time, but that’s always been an issue, hasn’t it? I think that WWE need to focus more on what they’re broadcasting in the current amount of time they have on air and utilise that time more. People may zone out after two hours if it’s the same repetitive stuff. TNA, on the other hand, have probably found their way around sites (including us!) that post those pesky spoilers from upcoming shows.
In breaking and somewhat Diva related news, from July 23rd (RAW’s 1000th episode) Monday Night RAW will be permanently given a three hour time slot. If done rightly, this can mean big things for the WWE Divas of RAW, with three hours there is no excuse for super short matches and the lack of emphasis, storylines and character development gone into the division. WWE.com posted the following:
NEW YORK – At a USA Network season premiere event in New York City, John Cena revealed on Twitter that Monday Night Raw will expand to a three-hour show, starting with the 1,000th episode on July 23 at 8/7 CT on USA Network.
On this day four hundred years ago, staff member and dinosaur Marcella was born! So take your time to wish Marcella a great, wonderful, sexy, hot, gorgeous, beautiful, cool, fantastic, jolly, pretty, fun, terrific, hollering, best birthday in the history of birthdays! YAYA
Good luck in your future endeavours!
Unfortunately Marcella recently had to undergo surgery on her hand and I’d like to take this time to say thank you on her behalf for all your kind and well words for her in the cbox, Twitter and everywhere else you spammed us about it – she really does appreciate all the love!
Current Divas champion Layla one upped her Over The Limit opponent, Beth Phoenix, last night on RAW when Beth defeated Alicia Fox. After scoring a pin over Fox, she went to continue a beat down until the champ ran down to the ring and drove Beth’s face into the mat with a spinning facebuster. She then appeared on the WWE.com’s ‘Backstage Fallout’ where she tells the WWE Universe she’s pretty sick of Beth Phoenix and how it felt to one up her!
After nearly a two year hiatus, The Top 12 (formally known as the Divalicious Dozen) has returned to OhSoDivalicious. If you aren’t familiar with ‘The Top 12′ then here’s the drift; it’s just like WWE.com’s ‘Power 25′ feature but ours is much smaller (and better). Ours counts down the top twelve women of wrestling each week. Let’s get on with it with our number twelve, shall we?

#12 – AKSANA
Last week: #N/A
On Smackdown, Aksana solidified her relationship with newcomer Antonio Cesaro when she told the world, and Teddy, that she and Long were only ever friends. She then said her and Antonio were lovers before making out with him infront of a heart broken Teddy Long.
