TNA Mobile’s text messaging system has announced the signing of Lisa Marie Varon. Lisa will debut on this Thurday’s edition of iMPACT.
Don’t get me wrong, I like Victoria/Lisa, however this article may just seem like a rant from me. This is the topic which has caused a couple of arguments (not serious ones, mind!) over whats good and whats not so good about this move. Victoria retired from WWE. She wasnt fired/released. She retired under her own terms, as far as I know. She was doing stuff with MMA or something, so I’m sure she was happy with what she was doing. She was even at WrestleMania 25! To some, that isn’t such a big deal due to the type of match it was, but it’s still a WrestleMania moment…
To suddenly go to TNA seems a bit random, I won’t say desperate, but to me, it is very random. I know TNA has been trying to get several 1-Ups with WWE over their womens divisions, which they slightly have, however I’m not too interested in TNA personally (Just for The Beautiful People… HOLLER!), this is a little ridiculous. A veteran Diva such as Victoria should be happy with being in WWE and being considered rather legendary among the few that are. It takes alot for a Diva to be considered legendary and I feel Victoria has what it takes. To go to TNA is kind of a slap in the face. I imagined Victoria being inducted into the Hall Of Fame later on in life.
For someone almost 40, with a heavy knee brace, this probably isn’t the best move. In my opinion, being 40 is like being 63 in Superstar years (Yes, that is sorta from The House Bunny lol!), on the other hand, you’re as old as you feel, perhaps Victoria/Lisa doesn’t feel all that old, I mean she was really happy and bubbly in WWE…
All in all, I’m not for it, while some people may be totally for it, she could be the Psycho Vixen again, I swear theres this thing where gimmicks/names can’t be taken into other companies or something… Notice how she’s been named as Lisa Marie Varon and not Victoria. Perhaps TNA will change her name to something like: Sasha Heart or Silk Moon Its official that she’ll be using her real name.
Again. Not for it, but we’ll have to wait and see what happens…
