“Often imitated, never duplicated…” - The Beautiful People.

Maryse has a similar gimmick to TNA’s Knockout faction, The Beautiful People, which some say is a blatent rip off of Vince’s Devils. I don’t see what is wrong if it’s only one little thing, such as the hairspray-in-the-eyes thing. As long as Maryse doesn’t float around “HOLLER!”-ing at Divas, she isn’t being a total rip-off, is she?

I can understand that some things seem pretty cool, but when they’re constantly being copied and re-named, it can be VERY annoying for the original creator. Of course, that’s the Sports Entertainment World. With that World, there’s also Fansites and News sites, such as OhSoDivalicious! The same things occur within Divas Fansites and News sites…

It has come to my attention MANY times that other News sites (or sites that people use as a reliable source for Divas information and quirky little gimmicks) have copied our quirky little gimmicks, ranging from Mary Anne’s latest feature “What’s Hot AKA The (se)X-Factor” to various unique features  of Marcella’s column/blog “The Confessions of A Royal Biatch” to Marc’s “Twin-O-Meter” (Originally from NarcusGFX) to one of my ideas, “The Squared Cycle“.

Whether or not the ideas have been “one-upped” and tweaked to seem more unique, they are still a rather blatent rip-off of us, a site that’s considered less popular. The point of our ideas is to have visitors seeing different things on different news sites, not to have something that they’ll just see another person’s opinion on, on another site, that’s what commenting is for.

This has angered Marc & I for a very long time, we don’t care about your skills in journalism, or your admiration in our ideas to post up something OhSoSimilar. We strive to make OhSoDivalicious unique, not just another “News Site” that just updates people. We like to be different, maybe you should consider doing that to. If I seem to be coming across as bitchy or if you feel angered by this post, it’s probably you who’s causing the need for this little note. Stop your shit. KTHXBYE.
