Developmental Diva, April Jeanette, has gone under another name change!
From first joining the WWE in May earlier this year, April went from Miss April to April Jeanette to April Mendes (for like a day) before it quickly changed to April Lee. Obviously WWE got bored with April Lee and decided to rename the Diva-in-training one more time, this time to AJ Lee. Even though AJ Lee isn’t your typical Diva’s name, or girls name for that matter, can we hope for her sake that this new name STICKS this time?

Hey I’ve been following April on the independent scene for a while and just wanted to clear things up. Her real name is April Jeanette Mendez. She never went by the name April Mendes or April Jeanette in WWE, there was never a Rosa storyline, it’s her actual name with a Z not an S like Rosa uses. She only used Miss April on the independent circuit. Certain websites had her real name listed as April Jeanette because she did not want to put her full name out there. The only name she’s used in FCW was April Lee. It was recently changed due to the fact that they no longer want wrestlers using their real names, hence Savannah, Courtney Taylor, etc. Her nickname is AJ so they went with that. Hope that clears up things.

But there were reports of her being changed to April Mendes, that’s the only reason I put it in the post, and I didn’t say there was a storyline with Rosa and she has had numerous changed in her name since joining WWE, all of which she hasn’t appeared on TV with, apart from her most recent name.
And it’s WWE who changes the names, not the Divas / Superstars themselves. Hope that cleared things up a little too! :)
