Happy 2nd Anniversary OhSoDivalicious.org!
Written By: Trisha on November 26th, 2009 • Comments (0)

Two years ago, I started up a random site. I couldn’t have dreamed it growing into something I’m very proud of! I could go into mega-details, but that’s what our little Ask The Staff post was about, all of OSD’s life story is basically there, it’s emotional! Not going into all award show-esque by thanking the little people, I’d just like to thank The Royals, Marc and Marcella, for making OhSoDivalicious happy, hyper and fun, but still keeping it professional. Everyone who’s ever contributed are also amazing, you know who you guys are! It’s been two years and here’s to two more! ;D

We’ve got a brand new layout created by mega-talented Cristy of Daxter-Studios, just in time for our anniversary, and you have to admit, it’s pretty amazing, so mega-thanks go out to her! I’ve put the Cbox back up, but we’re not interested in any personal issues, so keep them outta there and just have fun. Also, we’ve put up a random new feature: Random Advertising – Don’t worry, not Google ads or anything like that, just a quick cheap plug for the nice fansites around the web.

Plus, I have an extra thank you to give. Thank you to every single visitor, I know it sounds cheesy, but I want to thank you all (The lovers, the haters, the spammers, the robots and some Knockouts! – Yes, all of you) for sticking by us and making our hit counter EXPLODE with over 100,000 hits!! In the spirit of Thanksgiving, I think I’ve given pretty much all of the details of why I’m thankful! ♥

Marcella says:
I am thankful for myself ;) Kidding!! I’m basically thankful for all our visitors and the ladies of wrestling who have showed us a lot of support these years! And a big thanks goes out to all those involved with women’s wrestling. Of course, I’m thankful for Marc, ‘cos we have been friends since Ancient Egpytian times. He got me involved here and introduced me to Trisha. Thank you Trisha for letting the Royals run wild. ;)
Love for everyone, mostly for Cody Rhodes & John Cena

OSD Exclusive: Rain Speaks Out!
Written By: Marcella on November 26th, 2009 • Comments (1)

Marcella of the The Royals sent a bunch of questions to former TNA Knockout and huge indy womens wrestler, Rain AKA Ms Peyton Banks. She told us how she developed her ring name, ‘Rain’, who she would like to face in WWE and much more! Thanks once again Rain!

OSD: First thing first, how did you get into the wrestling business?
Rain: My cousin’s now husband was a wrestler and asked us to manage him, after that I asked if I could train to wrestle. It took off from there.

OSD: How did your develop the name “Rain”?
Rain: It’s my middle name.

OSD: You formed The Minnesota Home-Wrecking Crew with an independent semi-retired wrestler named Lacey. Can you explain how that team formed and what were the highlights of the team?
Rain: We wrestled each other so much we knew each other sooo well. We had a business meeting and decided to team together and dominate the tag team scene. The highlights are every match we had together. Most of all how we dominated together in ROH and Shimmer.

OSD: Now, you have formed a tag team with Britain’s own Jetta. How has it been working with her?
Rain: I love working with Jetta. She’s a great partner and always has my back. We KILL IT together.

OSD: How was working in TNA different from working in independent promotions?
Rain: Bigger company, Bigger expectations, More employees. Tight run shift.

To read how Rain got offered a job in TNA, which Divas she would love to face and alot more, carry on reading! Continue Reading… »

Sojourner Bolt Gets A Women’s Title Shot!
Written By: Marc on November 26th, 2009 • Comments (4)

Former TNA Knockout, Sojourner Bolt, now once again known as Josie, was reported to be back in Louisville, Kentucky, helping out OVW. However, it has come to our attention that Josie will be taking on Hannah Blossom for the OVW Women’s title at OVW’s Thanksgiving Thunder event. Josie is a former three time OVW Women’s champ, while Hannah/Holly (who is the champ?) Blossom, are only one time champions. Good luck Josie/Sojo, I’m rooting for ya!

The Fashion Police Goes Turkey!
Written By: Marc on November 25th, 2009 • Comments (4)

Welcome to OSD’s ‘The Fashion Police’, formally known as the se(X)-Factor, the original Diva outfit analyzer! The Fashion Police will has been out of action for a while now, but we’re back and you will be seeing MUCH more of The Fashion Police! So, let’s start with today’s Thanksgiving ‘Indian’ themed photoshoot!

THE ACCUSED: WWE Divas Champion, Melina
ACCUSED OF: Being cute
MARC’S JUDGEMENT: Melina’s looking fabulous here! Probably the best looking Indian of the whole photoshoot! Melina looked great on RAW and she carried it on throughout the photoshoot..well, all of the two snaps.
TRISHA’S JUDGEMENT: I thought Melina looked adorable in pigtails on Raw, and I still think so! Her little ensemble works against her skintone, complimenting it rather than making it look like she’s one shade, her boots also chop and change shades.
FINAL VERDICT: GUILTY!

YAYAYA

THE ACCUSED: Savannah
ACCUSED OF: Copying Melina
MARC’S JUDGEMENT: Guilty, guilty, guilty! I’m not really a fan of Savannah and none of her photoshoots have not exactly been so wonderful, and neither is this shoot! Sorry Sav, but you are guilty!
TRISHA’S JUDGEMENT: I don’t think she looks that bad, I like her dress, but the pigtails look better on Melina! Gorgeous boots though, I SO want them! Can’t complain much, Savannah’s looking better in this shoot than some other ones
FINAL VERDICT: Guilty

To see our verdict on the rest of the WWE Divas in the Turkey shoot! Continue Reading… »

Lauren Mayhew & WWE Part Ways, For Now?
Written By: Trisha on November 25th, 2009 • Comments (0)

I guess we never got a second photoshoot from ECW’s announcer, Lauren Mayhew – Her ‘dot com’ profile has been removed, due to her and WWE parting ways from her short-term contract, and nothing being decided over longer-term agreements. She’s apparently pretty happy with WWE though, so you never know, she could be returning to ringside pretty later on, but she’s an actress so she’s focusing on those opportunities for now. She’ll be playing a role in Frat Party, which is a direct-to-DVD movie. Frat Party will be released nationwide on December 1, 2009. Best of luck, Lauren!

Ask The Staff
Written By: Marc on November 23rd, 2009 • Comments (2)

The OSD Birthday Week continues with Ask The Staff. You sent in questions to us and we opened our hearts and picked our brains for some of your questions. There was no action from you guys on our twitter page, but we got bombarded with emails, so thanks for those! We picked out some of our favourite questions, so check out our answers below and leave a comment if your question got answered!

Dan asked: You love the women of wrestling but who are your favourite superstars?
-Marc’s answer: My all time favourite is definately Eddie Guerrero! But currently my favourites are Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, Zack Ryder, John Cena, Chris Jericho, William Regal and Sheamus!
-Marcella’s answer: My ultimate favorite wrestler is Triple H. I have always like Shawn Michaels, Goldust, and Jake the Snake Roberts. Currently, my favorite superstars are John Cena, Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes, and Ted Dibiase Jr.
-Trisha’s answer: I have been a Jeff Hardy fan since I first started watching wrestling. All the haters can hush. I also like other high-flyers, Evan Bourne, Alex Shelley, Chris Sabin, Amazing Red, then there’s other guys like Chris Jericho, AJ Styles, Kofi Kingston, Ted DiBiase, Randy Orton, I could go on and on, soo I will hush. I’m actually mostly a WWE fan, by the way, yet I like a few TNA Superstars, but that’s due to a lack of cruiserweight and tag division in WWE, they were (and are) my two favourite divisions, aside from Divas/Knockouts, of course!

Amy’s first question was: “What do you guys think of the other women of wrestling sites? “
-Marc’s answer: I think each site offers something different. Each site is unique. Personally, there’s one major site I don’t visit as I don’t like the way its run or the attitudes of the staff members in their posts, toward the women of wrestling and toward their readers.
-Marcella’s answer: To be honest, I don’t think about other women of wrestling sites. Before I came on here and Narcusgfx, I looked at some sites. Some I liked. Some I didn’t like. But when I got involved with OSD & Narcusgfx, I stopped viewing them. Why should I try to look at them for? I wouldn’t gain anything from looking and stalking other sites. I do go on forums and hear what people say about women of women of wrestling. So I do view forums, but unfortunately I don’t view other sites unless I’m on official OSD business or they are one of our affiliates.
-Trisha’s answer: I think they’re all unique. We all bring something different to the table, which I feel gives readers a genuine selection of what material they’d like to read. We don’t have any harsh comments towards any other Women of Wrestling site, just the message that we gotta keep doing what we’re doing!

Amy also asked: “If you had to wrestle one woman of wrestling, who would it be and why?”
-Marc’s answer: Probably Lita. Wrestling wise she’s my idol, so I it would be amazing to step in the ring with your idol! Plus, she’s majorly talented and I’d love the challenge!
-Marcella’s answer: I can’t just pick one! So I will pick two—one from TNA and the other from WWE. I would love to get into the ring with Velvet Sky. I don’t really know why. She seems to be more of my speed. I’m a klutz with an attitude. We would be on the same pace as we have a lot of similarities with each other. I really wouldn’t be able to keep up with fast paced girls, since I would blow out an already injured knee. The lady I would love to face in the WWE would be Maryse. Again, it would be for a similar reason. It seems like the best bet for me to go the safe route to wrestle people who have similar paces and attitudes in the ring. IF I would really want a challenge, I would go challenge Luna Vachon. If I wanted to throw caution to the wind, I would wanna face one of the first nutty women to grace the squared circle. Hey, I might as well show that I’m not another pretty face!
-Trisha’s answer: Hmm… Honestly, I’m not too sure! Someone who isn’t really good at what they do, otherwise I’d stand no chance and get crushed within a minute! You know what, scratch that. I’d give Sunny her last 15 minutes of fame… Her Facebook ramblings irk me beyond my lovestruck friend… Bring it on!

Read on for more Q&A’s and we give advice to a lovesick rabbit!
