Independant female wrestlers have been booked for tonights TNA taping for the Knockout’s new years special:

TNA has booked several women wrestlers for the tapings including Amber O’Neal, April Hunter, Lorelei Lee. A one-night tournament will take place tonight to determine the new #1 contender for Tara’s Knockouts Championship. The Knockout Tag Team Champions Taylor Wilde & Sarita will also be in action.

The New Year’s Eve special will also show the top 3 TNA matches in 2009, as voted on by the fans on TNA’s website.

Oh, and congratulations to Tara for capturing the Knockouts title for a second time!

Christy is taking over for me…and no doubt, she’s going to kill it with her current fan base…and come on, she’s PERFECT, inside and out, and has been a great friend to me during my year and a half with the company! More than anything, I am going to miss the wrestling community. Seeing everyone at Fan Fests, PPV’s and TV tapings was always the BEST part! Thank you so much for your continued support!!!”

We wish our favourite interviewer the best in her future, she’ll make a great host but we’ll miss her!

It’s that time of year when the Superstars and Divas of the WWE visit Iraq for their annual Tribute To The Troops show, and with every show (which airs tonight at 9pm EST), comes a photoshoot! So, out comes the fashion police for another strike a pose! Click the Divas names below to see their part of the shoot.

Eve Torres: I love how Eve isn’t wearing a Christmas related outfit. She looks beautiful and classy in this shoot. The outfit is nice too!

Alicia Fox: Well I’m glad the weird afro thing has gone, but oh deary me Alicia! What are you wearing? It’s the best Christmas outfit of this shoot but really, it’s ugly and boring! If you’re goin to be festive at least spice it up a bit and inject a bit of personality.

Nikki & Brie Bella: Cheap and tacky. NEXT…

Kelly Kelly: Umm Kelz, did you raid Jillian’s wardrobe? This kind of outfit doesn’t suit Kelly Kelly! Kelly should of kept it sweet and simple, not gone for something totally gaudy! Hey, I wonder if she wore her nike trainers with this outfit…

The team over at WWE.com have been in talks with former WWE Diva and Women’s champion, Ivory. The ‘Where are they now?’ feature on the website features the former champ this time around. She talks about her wrestling career and what shes doing now. There’s a snippit below:

“After the event, WWE got me to the plane just on time, and I was still in my outfit from the evening,. Unfortunately, when I got to San Francisco, my luggage didn’t arrive. Luckily, everything did show up just in time, and I was able to change in the bathroom and did my show.”

This one-time appearance turned out to be the beginning of a memorable career for Moretti. That day she got a call and the door of opportunity opened, giving birth to Ivory.

“I talked to Jim Ross,. and he said to get a tape together as they wanted to show it to [WWE Chairman/CEO] Vince [McMahon]. That was that, I was on board for the next six and a half years.”

That’s right guys, TNA’s resident interviewer and one of our favourite Knockouts, Lauren Brooke, is leaving TNA. Below is her latest tweet on her twitter page @OfficialLBT:

I have to say we are going to miss Lauren! She won interviewer of the year last year in our awards, and was a favourite among the staff here! We were lucky to do a live chat interview with her, where some fans also participated. To read the interview, click here. Maria’s mic skills reminded me of why the wrestling world fell in love with her, but also has me thinking that she’s more suited to speaking roles more than wrestling in the ring. Her and Abraham Washington had some chemistry going on and it was pretty good to see crowd getting into it too. Tony Atlas’ laugh is so annoying though…

Alicia Fox cranks up some serious workin’ out tunes as she poses in her latest photoshoot, I can’t be the only one who thinks that this session behind the camera screams ‘Work it girl!’ – Or maybe I am… When Alicia has a new shoot, fans are hardly disappointed by her efforts, she’s funky, she’s fresh and she’s doing it so damn effortlessly!
Given her ring attire and a grey backdrop to work with, Miss Fox gives it what she’s got, having fun and then going all serious and sexy for the camera. Her make-up is subtle and her curls suit her, there isn’t much to say about those elements, especially when the poses do the talking.

I’m not too fond of the ‘top matches of 2009′ part, but I can’t wait to see the line-up for this show!
