According to Bleacher Report, Hurricane Helms’ release was asked for while TNA Knockout Velvet Sky could possibly be released, resulting in The Beautiful People being no more, but with new Superstars on TNA’s roster. Helms and Sky have dated in the past, and apparently there are legal issues between them.
I’d like to stress that this is a rumour and should be taken with a pinch of salt. Thanks Daniel for the heads up!

Welcome to this week’s Smackdown, Smacked Down! I’d like to apologise, yet again for not keeping these posts regular, meaning you don’t get my sarcastic fix of Smackdown! each week… Sorry, guys!

Don’t worry though peeps, you most certainly haven’t been screwed over by me whereas John Cena added himself to the “Screwed List” on Monday Night Raw this week and I’m adding someone else to that list: Mickie James. That’s right, in this week’s action the two-second-to-win-in Womens’ Champion lost her title in pretty much the same amount of time as her reign up to Michelle McCool’s rematch clause match.

The Milwaukee Screwjob?

No music, and out comes our guest ref tonightie! We all know that Smackdown’s baddest bitch has been on Team Lay-Cool’s side (Which I don’t think makes sense, Vickie’s been “Oink!”ed at before by Sant-ranny-o, so it’d make sense to team with Mickie. But whatever…) so things are bound to play in Michelle’s court. The gorgeous Consultant makes her way down the ramp in her sexy version of the traditional referee outfit, while the crowd isn’t appreciating her strutting her stuff. Out comes her new BFF Michelle alongside her partner in crime Layla sporting body warmers this week, but still looking flawless as usual… Here’s a tip, WWEShop, make sure you guys stock the hoodies they’re usually rockin’ and not the body warmers, they remind me of life-jackets and well, Lay-Cool need to be saved from this little fashion disaster! Anyways, I think Layla attacked Michelle with her straighteners, but it’s a good thing! I really liked Michelle’s hair this week.

Out comes the WWE Womens’ Champion next, Mickie James! The crowd’s pretty happy to see her, but the bitchy chicas in the ring aren’t as pleased. Todd Grisham describes the trauma Mickie’s been through thanks to Lay-Cool, but Matt Striker basically tells him to build a bridge and get over it. Michelle wants to send the Native American to her WIGWAM of shame?! LMFAO! As the commentators discuss that dizzy comment by Matt, Vickie’s holding up the Womens’ Title all official-like and *DINGDINGDING* the bell has rung and the match as started!

Both ladies wait a while before locking it up, but when they do, Michelle gains the upper-hand. Michelle shouldn’t be getting too cocky as Mickie delivers a drop-kick after a few more moves by Michelle, thus building momentum for herself! This keeps going until Mickie goes for a pin-fall but surprise, surprise! Layla’s on the apron complaining… Vickie does the right job, however, in telling Layla to get down, but of course it’s also getting a little fishy with the situation (and I don’t mean a pot of Copydex glue!) in which Mickie responds to by taking out her frustrations on Michelle and chucking her out of the ring!

Mickie’s reign of dominance in the match does not end there! She’s out there and slapping Michelle around but Vickie starts YELLING from inside the ring that Mickie had better get back in. Mickie’s not stopping but brings Michelle’s sorry butt back in-ring while Layla comes round to cheer her friend on from a better angle. Oops, looks like the FLOOR isn’t much of a better place, seeing as that’s where my favourite British Diva ended up after meeting Mickie’s boot, but giving Michelle a chance to gain the upper-hand once again. Layla and Mickie become BFF’s with the floor as Michy gets a little breather then goes in for the kill! DO NOT BLINK – Beth Phoenix is watching backstage – KEEP THOSE EYES PEELED AT THE 5.40 MARK! Marcella’s bothering about the stupid flower in Beth’s hair, but I’m more focused on Michelle showboating yet again before setting Mickie up for a finisher, which she counters with a nice DDT-thing (Remember, I’m far from a professional commentator, I don’t know move sets and stuff!) then they battle it out some more before Michelle performs a belly-to-belly suplex into a pin, but OH DEAR! Vickie rolls out of the ring!

Layla rubs it all better while Mickie gets a roll-up and yells “COME ON VICKIE!” and on the level, I thought Vickie was doing a good job at being a pretty fair ref, until she came in and slapped Mickie in the face!! Mickie is SO-totally-freakin’ PO’d and I don’t blame her! With a look that says: “Excuse me! Are you TRYING to ruin my day?!” on her face, it soon get’s wiped off with a massive boot to the face, courtesy of Michelle McCool and ONE… TWO… THREE… Here’s your winner:

Sorry if I’ve left out any other Divas, but this was the main match & I haven’t watched Smackdown properly yet… Which is why I haven’t done these posts for ages now, but that’s NO excuse, right?!

Haters have had their wishes granted, Maria Kanellis has been RELEASED from her WWE contract. Personally, I think it’s a bit dumb, seeing as she’s got a massive fan base backing her. Obviously, this could be because of her music career starting up and her appearance on The Celebrity Apprentice, but REALLY?! Marcella and I are totally baffled as to how/why she’s been released. It just wasn’t expected!

WWE has come to terms on the release of WWE diva Maria as of today February 26, 2010. We wish Maria the best in all future endeavors.

EDIT: Maria’s responded to her release via Twitter with the following statement:

Alright guys let’s talk. I did not ask for my release. I was released. I am still going to kick ass in other areas!! I am excited about the future! But I am sad about never getting the Championship. I am sad about not getting the chance to go to Wrestlemania again. Passion is my Motivation! Time to Sing! Time to work for Charity! Time to Dance! Time to be Alive again! It’s a very poor match between these ladies.  However, they are NEW to the squared circle. So I won’t be mean to them. Naomi scored the pin fall to end this odd match!

The Original Screwjob happened during the match between Wendi Richter and the Spider Lady. Originally, the Spider Lady was another female wrestle managed by The Fabulous Moolah. Because bless, Wendi refused to give Moolah a rematch. Therefore, Moolah was a baddie and took the Spider Lady’s spot in this match! Check out TWO Hall of Famers battle!!

It was announced last night on RAW that the victim of the original screwjob and former WWE Women’s Champion, Wendi Richter, will be the next Diva to be inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame; congratulations! You can click here to view her hall of fame profile.

Wendi joins fellow females Mae Young, Sherri Martel and The Fabulous Moolah in the prestigious hall of fame.
