Team SmackDown! (Laycool) defeated Team RAW (Eve and Maryse) to win a Diva draft pick for the blue brand. Kelly Kelly was the Diva drafted.
“Kelly Kelly is now drafted to Smackdown. Kelly comes out wearing a red dress. Team Simply Flawless invites K2 to the ring and she nods her head telling them she’s ready for them.”
Marcella, Max and Trisha all predicted K2 would be sent over to the blue brand in the draft! You can check our predictions here (mine and Trisha’s), here (my two re-picks) and here (Marcella and Max’s).
What are your thoughts on this? Do you like the fact she’s now gonna be on SmackDown!? Or would you rather it went to another Diva? Let us know in the cbox, comments or through twitter!
Tonight’s iMPACT! is taped and will feature a big Knockouts triple threat match for the Knockouts title. Angelina Love and Tara will take on Madison Rayne, in her first title defense. You can read the spoilers here.
As we know tonight is the big WWE draft over on RAW! Here’s hoping some Divas get shifted about tonight as well as on Wednesday!
You can also join our bossman, Trisha, over on twitter (@OSDivalicious) where she will be covering RAW also.
It’s 1am here in the UK and both iMPACT! and RAW have begun! I hope that the Divas and Knockouts aren’t on at the same time, as I’m doing double duty over here! Just to let you know, I have iMPACT! on a stream muted, with RAW playing on my tv. When Knockouts come on, I mute the tv and watch the stream. You didn’t need to know that, but who cares.
Shomiz are out biching out the Hart Dynasty. Bret comes out and bitches them out. David Hart Smith, Tyson Kidd and Natalya all make their way down to the ring. Miz rolls out the ring during the match, but he’s met with Natalya. He blows her off and turns around into a spear from David.
Oops, Beauties are backstage. I missed half of it. Velvet says Tara and Angie have been BARKING about Madison. Madison says shes gonna let them kill each other before she cleanses TNA too.
Marcella’s here to continue on with RAW! Natalya looks scared as Miz talks and tries to outwrestle Kidd. Bless Nattie cover her ears, she should cover her eyes. The Dynasty win the tag titles. Natalya hugs her Uncle and now everyone is going nuts with huggies. They celebrate like great Canadians ;) The Royals are so happy.
It’s time for the Knockouts match. There’s a neverending promo on the Knockouts. Angelina’s out first. Tara’s out next, people are cheering for her when she’s acting like a heel, why? Madison Rayne makes her way out accompanied by Velvet and Lacey! I’m going nuts over here. They’re taking an eternity to get into the ring. Lacey and Velvet get thrown out from ringside. Madison runs out of the ring but gets clotheslined by Tara. Tara and Love have a showdown. Strikes from both. Angie takes down Tara and thumps away. Ref chucks Angelina. Madi gets in and gets a two count on Tara. Angie smacks her around so Tara grabs her and strangles her over her back with the hair. Madi rolls up Tara fir two count. She hits a kick to the head. Tara falls out the ring. Commercial time. We come back and Angelina is mauling Madi. She gets a two count. Tara punches Angelina and throws her into the turnbuckle post. Tara does her signature psycho hair pull. Madi rolls her up so Tara suplexes her and locks in some weird guillotine submission. Chops to Madi. Both girls down. Chants for Tara. They get up and Angelina double clotheslines them. She hits htem both twice and hits a jawbreaker on Tara, kick on Madi. Sidewalk slam from Tara to Angie. Madison threw Angie into Tara. Tara falls out the ring and Madi rolls up Angelina for the three count. Tara beats down on Angie. Security holds them apart. Let them fight chants. Angie flies out and thumps Tara. Pulled apart again. Tara decks them all. The girls keep breaking free of security. This is very silly. Tara cries saying she’s so sorry. Angelina accepts but Tara flings her out the ring.
Team Flawless ( Michelle McCool & Layla) with Vickie Guerrero come down the aisle in a special Smackdown vs Raw match for a diva draft pick. Oh, they looked flawless in their hoodies. Bless, Vickie Guerrero is my favorite, she’s so proud of her team. It’s a commercial. We see what happened two weeks ago when Eve won the Diva’s title from Maryse. Eve Torres and Maryse are a team.Oh no Maryse keeps throwing her hand in the face of Eve. Eve starts out with Layla being silly. Eve kicks Layla. Headlock and then a throw to Layla. Layla fights out. Lots of throws. There’s We Want Mickie Chants. Maryse and Eve come to blows. Oops, Eve almost gets counted out. Layla takes advantage of Eve, and now Michy is tagged in. Michy bangs Eve around and and says do you miss me. Michy gets to choke Eve. Bless, Layla gets involved. Dragon sleeper to Eve. Reverse DDT to Michy. Eve gets up and takes it to Michy. Neckbreaker to Michy. There’s more chants. Maryse takes a surprise tag. Maryse doesn’t look and gets hit with Michy’s boot. Layla lands on top of Michy as they won.
Kelly Kelly is now drafted to Smackdown. Kelly comes out wearing a red dress. Team Simply Flawless invites K2 to the ring and she nods her head telling them she’s ready for them.
We see Serena backstage with the Straight edge Society. Serena is going nuts with an uglie shirt on. She is pouncing around the ring. Yey, Serena gets in the way, but bless Bourne still flies. Evan goes for the shooting star splash but Serena gets up on the apron and oh no, Joey Mercury goes postal on Bourne. Now SES are partying in the ring. ;)! Serena glares evils at Big Show (who just got drafted to SD!). I guess Serena will show him who’s boss.
Bischoff is talking about this ranking system. Brooke Adams AKA Miss Tessmacher is standing behind him looking hot. She’s wearing a very nice little outfit! Jay Lethal comes in speaking like a mong. Tessmacher is looking at him like WTF.
Do forgive me, I looked up at my TNA stream and thought I saw Lacey Von Erich, but no, I didn’t – it was Ric Flair! OOPSIE!
The Royals and are out again for the night! Did you enjoy RAW and iMPACT! because bless, WE DIDN’T! :)
Around the start of April when the WWE draft was announced, myself and Trisha were the first two to post up our picks for this years draft.
Two Divas I chose have unfortunately been released – Katie Lea and Mickie James. Now, because of this, I’m going to change those two choices, as obviously, there’s no chance of it happening now.
Marc’s re-pick #1:Serena to RAW
The Straight Edge Society seem to have caused all the mess and desctruction possible on the blue brand. A move to RAW is what they need I think. I don’t think any member of the group is going to really benefit from being on SmackDown! much longer. Serena STILL hasn’t wrestled anyone, but she continues to smack and kick people, during Punk’s matches. I think it’s about time Serena had a match – maybe against K2 or a Bella. I can see a mini feud spark up already between Serena and one of those Divas.
Marc’s re-pick #2:Maryse to SD!
It’s time to go back home, Maryse! The French Diva has accomplished all that is necessary whilst being on RAW. She’s proved she can wrestle sometimes, that she’s over and that people hate her. Moving back to SmackDown! could really do wonders for Maryse. While she isn’t as polished in-ring as she was before her injury, she could easily train and take tips off of a Diva who I think she’d start a high profile feud with – Beth Phoenix! Could Maryse be the newest Diva to have held both Diva exclusive titles?! ;)
After a really suprisingly awesome Extreme Makeover match up, Beth Phoenix defeats Michelle McCool with a Glam Slam to become the new (and now three time) Women’s champion! Check out the live coverage and quick sum up of the match from Gerweck below.
Michelle McCool with some big uppercuts to Beth Phoenix early on. Phoenix with a close roll up for a two count on McCool. Phoenix with a diving attack off the top rope on McCool and then levels McCool with an elbow on the outside. Layla tried to interfere using a broom and Phoenix pushes her away. McCool sprays some hair spray in the face of Phoenix and tosses an ironing board in the ring. McCool hits Phoenix repeatedly with the iron board. McCool applies a body scissors on Phoenix. Jerry Lawler just said Vickie Guerrero is wearing some really nice mom jeans. McCool with kicks to the body of Phoenix. McCool puts the ironing board across the chest of Phoenix and kicks it into the chest of Phoenix. Phoenix is able to send McCool back first into a table full of female makeup products. McCool tries to use some more hair spray on Phoenix and ends up spraying it in the face of Layla and Vickie. Phoenix grabs a bucket and hits McCool with it in the ring. Phoenix plants the ironing board near the corner and puts McCool up top. Layla and Vickie use a mop and broom to kick Phoenix away who falls backwards onto the ironing board. That was the single strangest thing I’ve seen in WWE all year. Phoenix is able to rebound hitting the Glam Slam on McCool for the win.
Winner & NEW WWE Women’s Champion: Beth Phoenix
In other coverage, Natalya & Serena made their appearances. Here’s what Marcella had to say about it:
Natalya leads Bret Hart and The Hart Dynasty to the ring for the tag team gauntlet match. Not much of a match for hart Dynasty as they smashed ShowMiz. She celebrates with her Hart Dynasty. Haha!
Serena leads CM Punk and Luke Gallows. She looks absolutely pretty. I love her leather jacket. She’s the antidiva be jealous! Serena loves to bash that ring apron. YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAY! Serena viciously kicked the ugly mask of reyrey off. J Serena grabs Rey’s leg, and bless they get ejected. HOW DARE YOU REFEREE !! Thanks to a hooded man (wink wink Joey Mercury wink wink) CM Punk wins! He sits in his barber chair with Luke Gallows and Serena ( who’s molesting Punkie’s hair)!
First off, i’d like to apologize for the lack of the last two MV Blogs… but better late than never.
Secondly, for a couple of months, the MV blog will feature one MV, so it’ll be a MV Of The Week!
My good friend Brandon has recently reached his 3 year anniversary on YouTube making MVs, THREE YEARS! so to celebrate he made this! Everything about this just screams awesome, he highlighted ten years of divas extremely well without realising it, now that is skill!
Over the years Extreme Rules (formally known as One Night Stand) has seen four different matches featuring our Divas including an I Quit match, a hog pen match, a six person mixed tag match and a pudding match! Tonight, we will see the first ever Extreme Makeover match, where Beth Phoenix will take on Michelle McCool for the WWE Women’s title! The staff members of OSD cash in their thoughts on who will be walking away with the gold tonight!
Marc’s prediction:
Michelle McCool retains
I think tonight after the Extreme Makeover match, Michelle McCool will still be the WWE Women’s champion. The odds are stacked against Beth but with the Extreme Rules rule, it also in her favour also – she’s inarguably the most powerful Diva on the roster and with weapons added to that strength, she’s pretty much indestructible. When I did my draft picks, I did say Michelle would be put over to RAW without her title, but now I’m thinking otherwise. She still may be drafted over to the flagship show, but I think tonight is too early for her to drop her title! Plus, Michelle has the other members of her Simply Flawless team (Layla and Vickie Guerrero) in her corner and with Mickie James now gone, who’s Beth got?
Marcella’s prediction:
Beth Phoenix wins the title
It’s an understatement to say that i don’t care whether Michelle McCool or Beth Phoenix grabs the Women’s Title. To be honest, I’m liking this feud, so good for them. I think Beth Phoenix will come out the victor since Team Lay-Cool has been rather naughty to the Glamazon as of late. The thing that bothers me the most is what the hell is an extreme makeover match? Can we at least know what the HELL that is? Anyways, Beth for the win with a Glamslam to Michy, Lay, and Vickie, and everyone’s mother! ` `
Max’s prediction:
Michelle McCool retains
MC-Cool(as Matt Striker likes to call her) is awesome as Women’s Champ, and the WWE don’t just pass the title around like TNA do so I don’t think Phoenix will get it this time. However, if Phoenix does win and Layla messes things up, we could see the end of LayCool ready for the draft, it’d be unfortunate, but it could happen right? So yeah, I do think Michelle will retain, although I would love to see Beth with that belt again, but my instinct is telling me Michelle will win! ` `
Trisha’s prediction:
Beth Phoenix wins the title
This could go either way, but I don’t want this feud to end! In this (rather lame) stipulation, it should pretty much favour Michelle McCool, especially if she has Layla and Vickie by her side. Thing is, I’m 100% backing The Glamazon on this one… Here’s to hoping that this girly, ‘flawless‘ stipulation gets thrown back into Michelle’s face! She’s had the title for a bit too long now, if when Beth wins the title, this feud should be able to go on just that little bit longer. I also hope that some face Divas help out (Without the need to clusterfuckthingsup) and even out things at ringside with Vickie and Layla, if they decide to interfere.
One half of the Royals – Marc – is here to bring you another edition of The Royals Verdict.
The annual WWE draft is this Monday on RAW, with the supplemental draft following this Wednesday. So this time, I’m gonna look into the best Diva draft picks over the years.
2009 Supplemental Draft: Layla to SD!
Layla first began on SmackDown! but got drafted to ECW, and then RAW. Whilst being on RAW, Layla got lost in the shuffle a little bit. She was used as an extra in tag matches but rarely wrestled as she was playing manager to William Regal. However, the 2009 supplemental draft came and Layla was drafted back to her home brand - SmackDown! Straight away Layla started a program with Eve Torres. Layla lost a dance contest, so she slapped Eve. Layla lost an arm contest, so she hit the Layout on Eve. The old Layla was back in business! She may have continued to lose matches, but she soon fired up an evil friendship with SmackDown!’s top heel, Michelle McCool. The two became Laycool and soon they would become BFF with Vickie Guerrero and become, Simply Flawless! Layla has been used near enough every week on SmackDown! and now, she is inarguably one of the top heels in the company.
2004 Draft: Nidia to RAW
Nidia was always very popular on the blue brand, but even moreso after she got blinded. The storyline developed and Nidia turned face, which got the crowd behind her even more. Not long after losing a PPV match to Jamie Noble (he CHEATED to win), Nidia was drafted to the flagship show – RAW! Nidia debuted the following week and defeated ring veteran Molly Holly! She was used frequently in singles matches, tag matches and battle royals – she was even used loads on RAW’s other show, HEAT. Whilst on RAW, Nidia had the chance to feud with Trish Stratus – who was the top dog in the WWE at that time. She also became a regular tag team partner for TNA’s Tara (Victoria). However, when the Diva Search took center stage, Nidia was released along with the likes of Jazz and Gail Kim – this was the only major downside to her draft to RAW.
2009 Draft: Maryse to RAW
Last years draft saw SmackDown!’s top bitch and then reigning Divas champion, Maryse, drafted to Monday Night RAW! Maryse quickly became the top heel on RAW. She was in a high profile feud with the top face, Mickie James. Before long, Maryse lost the Divas title to Mickie. Maryse then made a return that won’t be forgotten anytime soon, as she attacked Melina dressed as the Gobbledy Gooker. After feuding with Melina, Maryse won a Divas tournament to win the Divas championship for a second time! But, she lost it again to Eve Torres in a pretty quick match. She’s still the top heel on RAW though.. for now!
“Stone Cold” Steve Austin has mentioned former TNA Knockout Awesome Kong on Twitter. He comments on her possible signing with WWE, although i doubt that will ever happen since WWE go by looks not talent clearly!
“if WWE has any brains they will hire you immediately…GOOD LUCK!!!”
