The Big Bang and Songs of Love Unite in Song to Help a Sick Child.
The Big Bang Dueling Piano Bar Corporation is raising money and awareness for The Songs of Love Foundation. Every Wednesday from April to the end of June, each Big Bang location will be asking its clientele to chip in and support this special charity. The grand finale will be on July 1st. In an unprecedented event, patrons and employees in all four Big Bang locations will unite in song and lend their voices on a “song of love” for a child battling a serious illness.
All four venues will be uniting live via the internet. Supporters will be invited to sing at the same time through the video feed originating from the Nashville Big Bang. All the voices will be simultaneously recorded and then added to the chorus of the pre-recorded song that will be sung by some very special guest singers. This will mark the first of a yearly collaborative event held by the Big Bang and the Songs of Love Foundation, a nonprofit that creates personalized songs for children and teens facing tough medical and physical conditions. Songs of Love Founder John Beltzer will be at the Big Bang Nashville as he leads the crowd to sing in all 4 locations.
Big Bang entertainment director/musician and Songs of Love songwriter Geoff Smith (www.thegeoffsmith.com) will be composing the special song.
“Songs of Love is so simple in what they do,” Smith says. “I am not a great activist, I am not a great leader, I am not even a wealthy philanthropist, but I do know how to write songs and I believe that is my calling.”
“It is truly wonderful to be embarking in an event that will bridge people together in separate locations with a melodic chain of love. All for the common purpose of making a sick child smile. We are grateful to the Big Bang!” Beltzer says.
