UK newspaper The Sun caught up with TNA Knockout Champion Madison Rayne whilst TNA were in Dublin as part of their UK tour. She talks about her luck when it comes to the multiple opportunities she’s been given – the Knockouts Championship at the age of 24 and being a member of The Beautiful People.
“I guess I have been very fortunate to make this far so fast in TNA.
“I took a bit of time to find my place here and perhaps through luck I wound up as one of The Beautiful People.
“They are a great team and they helped me out greatly. It was just one of those unplanned things when Angelina Love had to leave for a short while, but that moved me up the ranks of the team and I really began to get where I wanted.
“It’s not like I capitalised on others misfortune, I mean due to pure luck again I was included on the last UK tour as well, I replaced a girl who had to return home.
“But I now I face an even greater challenge — to stay on top. People think getting the belt is the big thing and you can relax.
“That’s not the case, now I need to be one step ahead at all times, watch my back and keep an eye on everybody. I am the target now and I know it.”
Dustin Diamond, who played the character Screech in ‘Saved By The Bell’ issued an open challenge for a match (at the companies February 11 show) to anyone on the AAW roster. Well bless Screech, have you met SCREAM?
According to Ringside Excess, the returning Diva Search will be produced similar to the current NXT concept – as Marc previously speculated – with women brought in having current WWE Divas as Pros. WWE are also going to attempt to bring in women from the independent scene via the Diva Search, but what about those talented ladies from NXT Season 3 who are currently back in FCW? Only time will tell.

A member of PWTorch attended a WWE corporate presentation this Wednesday and found out WWE are bringing back the Diva Search competition. See what he reported below.
WWE is bringing back the Diva Search contest. Julie Stenz, WWE’s Director of Partner Marketing, said there will be a ten-week competition during WWE’s “regularly scheduled” WWE programming and there will be sponsorship opportunities for the Diva Search segments.
Diva Search – A flexible 24 week flight (featuring branded segments) is open for this 10 week competition during regularly scheduled WWE programming. This was touted as WWE’s version of “American Idol.” No mention of Tough Enough.
I find this very interesting that in the ‘PG Era’ of WWE that they’d bring back the often racy Diva Search competition unless it’s going to be more like an NXT or Tough Enough styled contest. What do you guys think about this?
Another rumour floating the internet is that of Awesome Kong. We’ve heard pretty much every rumour going about how the monster Diva will make her debut but The Wrestling Obsever are reporting that the former TNA Knockout could possibly make her debut this Sunday’s Royal Rumble Divas championship match where Natalya is set to defend against both members of Laycool in a handicap match.
According to The Wrestling Observer, The Rock and recording breaking seven time WWE Women’s champion Trish Stratus are the names being considered for 2012′s Hall of Fame – which will most likely take place in the Trish’s home town of Toronto.
During her time in WWE, Stratus won the WWE Women’s belt seven times, was named Babe of the Year three times, had a short stint as Hardcore champion and set the bar for the current Divas.
