Don’t Bring Layla Flowers in The Pouring Rain…

In the latest edition of WWE Magazine, Layla and Kelly Kelly go head-to-head in the Debating Divas column. Kelly was set on the idea of flowers being a great gift for almost anything. “Red roses and heart-shaped boxes of candy are always a hit,” she claims, while Layla certainly wasn’t keen on that idea, quickly shunning it.

Layla: No way. I hate flowers. They die, and they’re boring.

I definately agree!

For the full article, pick up a copy at your local newsagents. The pictorial should be well worth the price, as Layla looks cooler than the red dress while Kelly’s nicked a pair of her NXT Rookie Naomi‘s leggings paired with a bra.

Michelle McCool Interview

The first ever Unified Divas champion, Michelle McCool recently sat down with her official website for a birthday interview! Michelle spoke about injuries, her tables match, managing the ‘Teacher’s Pets’ and much more.

On bumps, bruises and injuries, Michelle said:

” Haha….yeah, bumps & bruises come with the territory. Other than the normal, I did have two bulging disc in my neck (between C5 & C6). I’m not sure exactly when it occurred or if it just happened as a result of constant wear and tear, but boy did it hurt! It was probably the worst, pain wise, at Hell in a Cell. I remember barely being able to move my neck at all. It was so bad that day (& about 4-5 days after) that I couldn’t even bend my head down far enough to scratch my forehead. I was diagnosed the following Tuesday after HIAC when I had an MRI. I took it easy in the ring for a few weeks after. Right now, I’ve had a sprained pinky finger for 3 weeks. I know that sounds silly, but it’s aggravating “

When asked about the different match types and being apart of the tables match, she had this to say:

“It’s funny…..it seems that no matter what the diva’s do, there will be a million people loving it and another million hating it! I’ve never been a fan of the bra and panties matches…. The extreme makeover match was pretty fun, but nothing will top the rush I had during the TLC match. I hope everyone enjoyed it as much as I did! I felt it for several days after, but I loved every bit of it! I hope they continue to give the divas more opportunities like that. It was so refreshing to do something so extreme. The crowd loved it too, which is always nice! I actually thought they were ribbing us when they told us that our match would be a table match as well! It took asking about 5 people before I actually believed it “

On managing the infamous Teacher’s Pets tag team:

“Oh, I don’t know…..we all definitely got along, but you’re right – there wasn’t much chemistry. I attribute a lot of that to just being new. Sometimes at the beginning of your career, you’re just afraid to go for it (for lack of better terms). I think I always held back in fear of screwing something up, versus just going for it and having them have to reel me back in (which is what Layla and I tend to do now)! They were both great guys that I hope are doing well!”

Smackdown Preview (& Spoilers!)

After two weeks of dominating team Laycool, Beth Phoenix can take a night off! Two weeks ago, Beth defeated Michelle and last week, she defeated Layla. This past Monday on RAW after Natalya defended her Divas championship against rival Melina, Laycool came out and cashed in their championship rematch clause for the Royal Rumble. Can they get the momentum they desperately need for this Sunday by defeating Kelly Kelly and Kaitlyn on Smackdown? Or will the blondies make short work of Laycool?!

Can’t wait till Friday? Highlight the box below to see the results of the match and the dastardly deeds Vickie Guerrero got up to.

Vickie Guerrero opened the show with the crowd going just crazy. Randy Orton came out to confront her, but thanked her for letting him to be on Smackdown, and then said “Excuse me” for what I’m gonig to do to your boyfriend tonight. He then talked about winning the WWE title on Sunday. Dolph Ziggler came out and demanded that Orton

1. LayCool defeated Kaitlyn and Kelly Kelly. Kaitlyn and Kelly attacked during Laycool entrance, but a McKick to Kaitlyn about one minute in led to the 1-2-3.

Then Vickie announced that the spear is banned from this point forward. If Edge uses the spear at the Rumble, he will not only be DQ’d, but Ziggler gets the title. Edge speared Ziggler three spears at this point but those spears may not air on Smackdown.

Natalya Responds To Michael Cole Diss

natalya

During last night’s Raw broadcast, commentator Michael Cole had some less than flattering choice of words for Divas Champion Natalya, addressing her as “hefty”. The nerve of him! Who does he think he is?! In classy fashion, the third generation Diva issued a response via Twitter:

Michael Cole can call me “hefty” all he wants- but this diva is built in the front, stacked in the back and proud of every inch!!!”

Not ‘Official’ Divas

The superflying second generation Diva Tamina and Smackdown’s official consultant (and stand-in General Manager at the moment) Vickie Guerrero, are still not ‘official’ WWE Divas according to WWE.com! Both ladies are the ONLY WWE Divas not to be featured on the Divas mini site. Both Divas have roster pages on their respected brands, however.

EXCUSE ME! Pull your finger out WWE.com!
