Welcome to Smackdown Smacked Down! This week I have the honor of filling in for my slave-driver fantastic bossman, Trisha!

So the first glimpse we get of the divas this week is a backstage segment, which begins with a close-up on a gleaming AJ Lee. The shot than pans out to reveal WWE broadcast correspondent Jack Korpela who introduces AJ and begins an interview. Jack goes on to ask her how she feels about being apart of the WWE, she responds with “Dude I am so psyched, I have my first singles match tonight”, but she then gets interrupted by fellow Smackdown divas, Tamina and Rosa Mendes. Tamina comes in saying “Hey, mini-mouse, here is a welcome gift” and she throws the gift at AJ, who is then confused to find cheese when she opens the gift. Rosa then responds with “Queso. For a little mousey loser like you” the heel divas giggle. AJ comes out with “You know what girls, LayCool called, they want their gimmick back” and Tamina fake-laughs (badly at that) and responds telling AJ that it was big talk for a little girl who would be alone in the ring tonight, AJ looks slightly scared, but then Natalya enters and puts her arm around AJ. Tamina and Rosa sniff the air and Rosa asks if “someone just cut the cheese?”, the two giggle and then walk off as the camera zooms in on the faces. More after the cut!

We then see Rosa and Tamina in the ring awaiting the arrival of the face divas. A fun and happy theme hits along with a fun and happy tron, this must be AJ then well that and the fact that the tron and mini-tron actually says AJ. AJ comes out in a lime green attire with Natalya by her side in a black dress. AJ and Nat share a few words as they walk down the ramp, while Tamina is glaring at them from the ring. AJ then runs forward and gets into the ring all bouncy ish. AJ and Tamina stare each other down until AJ backs into the corner and Nattie whispers things into her ear.

They go to lock up, but AJ ducks underneath and goes behind Tamina, who then gives one hell of a back elbow to AJ. Tamina then lifts AJ up, but she then reverses it into a wheelbarrow, which didn’t turn into a bulldog, as she just stood up. AJ gives a boot to the mid-section of Tamina, which is followed up by a standing front dropkick. Tamina cowers into the ropes and AJ tries to take advantage but gets a boot and a big headbutt for her efforts. Tamina then drags AJ up into the middle of the ring and delivers a scoop slam, she then follows this up with an arm lock submission hold. We see a shot of a concerned Natalya as the crowd begins to get behind AJ, who eventually makes it to her feet and fights out of it. Tamina then grabs AJ by the hair and slams her back down to the mat. We see a shot of Rosa and Booker T then mentions how good she is looking in that dress, I can’t help but agree with him! Back in the ring, Tamina runs the ropes and attempts a running splash but AJ rolls out of the way. Both divas make it to their feet and Tamina goes for a clothesline, but AJ ducks and come back with a low dropkick, Tamina falls to her knees. AJ then runs and springs off of the ropes and hits a running enziguiri, which only gets a two count. AJ gives some fore-arm shots to Tamina and then tries to whip her into the opposite corner, but she reverses and whips AJ into the corner. Tamina then charges but is met with an elbow, AJ then climbs to the second turnbuckle and attempts a cross body, Gail Kim style! Tamina catches AJ and sets her up for the Samoan drop, but AJ gets out of it and rolls Tamina up, one… two… three!

AJ rolls out of the ring quickly and celebrates with Natalya as Tamina is in disbelief. Rosa gets in the ring and kneels down next to Tamina and they both glare at the face divas, I bet Rosa has one thing to say about AJ’s theme, QUESO!
