Hey guys and girls, I must apologize for the lateness of this coverage, I’ve had a busy weekend! But anyway, it’s that time of the week again, are you ready to get Starstruck?! HERE WE GO!
This week on Superstars we had one divas match, how upsetting well actually not really as sometimes we don’t even get a divas match. Anyway the divas match featured on the show this week had Smackdown’s Kaitlyn and Alicia Fox facing off! Alicia came out first in a fiercevibrant red attire! Kaitlyn is out next in a re-used attire, which consists of her black trunks and her brown top, Alicia waves at her as she walks down the ramp. More after the cut!
The two divas circle the ring and then go to lock up, but Alicia goes underneath Kaitlyn’s arm and then pushes her, the two then face off before locking up properly. Alicia manages to get Kaitlyn into a headlock, she then takes her over and keeps her in the hold, she then eventually manages to reverse it into a headscissors hold, before Alicia gets out of it. The two make it to their feet, but Kaitlyn knocks Alicia down with a shoulder block, which she follows up with a pin attempt, which only gets a one count. Kaitlyn then proclaims “that’s one!” and Alicia sits up watching Kaitlyn as she counts one with her finger. The two then circle once again, Alicia gets Kaitlyn into a waist lock, which she gets out of, she then lifts Alicia, by her arm! and places her onto the top turnbuckle. Kaitlyn then makes a rookie mistake and taunts Alicia, but she fights back with a jumping seated Lou Thesz press from the top rope, Mickie James style! Alicia then gets Kaitlyn to her feet by the hair and wrenches her arm before attempting to whip her into the corner. Kaitlyn reverses the Irish whip attempt and whips Alicia into the corner instead, she then walks towards her but she is met with an elbow to the face! Alicia then hits what looked like an STO, which takes Kaitlyn down to the mat. Kaitlyn then sells hair pulling, but to me it looked like an STO, maybe I need my eyes fixed! The ref tells Alicia off before she goes for a pin attempt, but she only gets a one count. Alicia then hits two knee strikes to the back of her opponent, she then taunts her. Alicia grabs Kaitlyn’s head, pulls it up and then slams her back down to the mat face first, she then counts one, before repeating and counting two, she then gets Kaitlyn into another headlock. Kaitlyn eventually makes it to her feet and fights out of the hold with repeated elbow shots to the mid-section of Alicia, she then punches her before running the ropes. Kaitlyn springs back off the ropes and hits a sunset flip into a pin, but yet again she only gets a one count. Both divas make it to their feet but Alicia takes her opponent down with a clothesline, she then gets her into yet another headlock, Kaitlyn eventually makes it to her feet, but Alicia slams her back down again, still keeping her in the headlock. The crowd gets behind Kaitlyn and she makes it to her feet once again and fights out of the hold with more elbow shots to the mid-section of her opponent. Kaitlyn then drops to her knees and punches Alicia in the mid-section, but Alicia once again slams her into the mat face first, she then taunts once again before getting Kaitlyn into a hold, Alicia likes to use this hold, can you guess what it is? THAT’S RIGHT, it’s a headlock, yes, another one! Kaitlyn once again makes it to her feet, but this time she gets out of the hold with a back suplex. Alicia goes for a clothesline, but Kaitlyn ducks, Alicia charges at her again but she takes her down to the mat with a flapjack. Alicia makes it to her feet but Kaitlyn takes her right back down with a dropkick, pin attempt, another one count. Kaitlyn lifts Alicia and throws her into the corner, she then hits her with knee strikes and fore-arm strikes. Kaitlyn then goes for an Irish whip into the opposite corner, Alicia reverses and whips her into the corner, but she reverses with a springboard back elbow back out of the corner, another pin attempt, just a two count. The two divas make it to their feet, Kaitlyn goes for a side slam but Alicia fights out of it and boots Kaitlyn, she then runs the ropes and hits the scissors kick for the win.
Alicia taunts Kaitlyn, we then see a replay of the scissors kick that ended the match. Alicia taunts once again as she heads up the ramp.
I really really liked this match, best match that I’ve seen for a few weeks on Superstars! I loved how back and forth it was, and how technical it was as well, and wow, hasn’t Kaitlyn improved?! Using Sunset flips and springboard back elbows now!

I disagree Max.
It was a really bad match, I’ve seen better on Supersars in recent weeks.
As for Kaitlyn improving? Yes she has but when she does sunset flips and those flying elbows, it doesn’t look graceful. She is frumpy and sloppy. It looks like a fat girl flying.

Each to their own opinion I guess :P! But yes, Kaitlyn does still struggle in the ring, but if you think back to NXT, she can actually put on a nice match nowadays!
