The next WWE pay-per-view is No Way Out and it looks like the emotional AJ Lee has planned No Way Out for her former beau, Daniel Bryan as she’s strapped him to a train track!

The Maxim Hot 100 list of 2012 has been unveiled and three Divas made the cut – Layla El, former WWE Diva Stacy Keibler and Kelly Kelly. The ladies listed in at 95, 51 and 38, respectively. Congratulations to all three! Here’s what Maxim had to say about each Diva:
95. Layla El
The curvy British beauty and former Miami Heat dancer breaks hearts and bones in the ring as a WWE Diva. Layla, figure-four leg lock, please?
51. Stacy Keibler
George Clooney’s lady may look innocent, but the former Maxim cover girl can kick your ass-either in her WWE wrestling boots or in her Dancing With the Stars ballroom shoes; it’s up to you.
38. Kelly Kelly
In 2011 this squared-circle sweetheart returned to WWE Raw and graced the cover of Maxim’s December issue. Our favorite fact about the darling Diva: Her real name, Barbie Blank, is even more badass than her nom de wrestling.
Last night at WWE’s Over The Limit pay-per-view, Layla successfully defended her championship against the number one contender, Beth Phoenix. WWE.com caught up with Layla and she had this to say:
Also, Maxim have reported that even though the voting for their Hot 100 list is still taking place, they have released a list of women who have recieved a tonne of votes from the public ballot – WWE Diva Layla, was one of them! They wrote:
This British-born dancer, model and WWE Diva could easily knock any of us off of our feet. We feel a little light-headed just thinking about it.
This week’s only just begun and it’s looking flawless for Layla already!
This past Friday, WWE Smackdown Diva Rosa Mendes was involved in a multi-car wreck in Las Vegas. Mendes was a passenger in her friend’s Hummer, stopped at a light when they were hit from behind by another car that was also hit, moving at high speeds. Rosa was rushed to hospital but released a few hours later. She told WWE.com this:
“My neck and back were really hurting, my body is my job. I was so scared that I was not going to be able to wrestle. I was in a lot of pain. Nothing’s broken, I feel like I can wrestle but the whole right side of my neck and back have a burning sensation.”
WWE were on hand to take some photos, so for photos of the crash, click here for WWE.com’s exclusive snaps.
Later on Saturday night, Rosa Mendes tweeted the following, thanking fans for their support during this tough time:
@LaRosaMendes: Just want to thank everyone for their texts, messages, and phone calls. Its nice knowing I have people that care me.
We wish Rosa the best and most speediest recovery. Hopefully she’ll be cranking up the crazy in the tag team and Divas division very soon!
While it’s been announced that WWE will continually broadcast Monday Night Raw for three hours, the time slot they usually have for special occasions (think anniversary shows, etc.), instead of the usual two, TNA president Dixie Carter made an announcement of her own.
TNA will be going live over summer, starting from the 31st May.
“We are excited to take IMPACT WRESTLING Live! all summer long, and have our first Live! summer show launch our new 8:00pm/ET time slot,” says TNA President Dixie Carter. “Summer of 2012 is going to be remembered as the most momentous time in our company’s history-to-date. Stay tuned.”
I (Trisha) personally haven’t watched an episode of Monday Night Raw due to a lack of appeal in the first hour of the show. Well, that and the lack of Diva air time, but that’s always been an issue, hasn’t it? I think that WWE need to focus more on what they’re broadcasting in the current amount of time they have on air and utilise that time more. People may zone out after two hours if it’s the same repetitive stuff. TNA, on the other hand, have probably found their way around sites (including us!) that post those pesky spoilers from upcoming shows.
In breaking and somewhat Diva related news, from July 23rd (RAW’s 1000th episode) Monday Night RAW will be permanently given a three hour time slot. If done rightly, this can mean big things for the WWE Divas of RAW, with three hours there is no excuse for super short matches and the lack of emphasis, storylines and character development gone into the division. WWE.com posted the following:
NEW YORK – At a USA Network season premiere event in New York City, John Cena revealed on Twitter that Monday Night Raw will expand to a three-hour show, starting with the 1,000th episode on July 23 at 8/7 CT on USA Network.
WWE Studios certainly are keeping themselves busy! First the Miz in the third installment of ‘the Marine‘, Wade Barrett in ‘Dead Man Down‘, and now Eve is set to make an appearance! She, alongside the Miz and CM Punk are slated to make a cameo appearance in the upcoming French documentary ‘Queens Of the Ring‘.
WWE Studios and Karé Productions have announced a partnership centered around Karé’s new French film, “Les Reines Du Ring” (“Queens of the Ring”), currently in production in France and being distributed by Warner Bros. Entertainment France.
“Le Reines du Ring” will utilize WWE trademarks, footage, consumer products and incorporate cameos by some of WWE’s biggest stars including WWE Superstars CM Punk, The Miz and Eve. WWE Studios will receive an in-association credit on the picture and have first-look rights to distribute the picture in the United States and Canada and to re-make the film in English.
“Les Reines du Ring” stars Nathalie Baye, Andre Dussollier and Marilou Berry. The comedy/drama is directed by Jean Marc Rudnicki and produced by Antoine Rein, Fabrice Goldstein and Thomas Langmann.
“Partnering on ‘Les Reines Du Ring’ is another way for WWE Studios to participate in the telling of great stories in any language and continue to expand the WWE Studios brand worldwide,” said WWE Studios President Michael Luisi. “When we read the heartfelt family story being told by the Academy Award winning team behind ‘The Artist,’ we knew as a company that we had to lend our expertise in the world of sports entertainment to make the film as authentic and engaging as possible.”
The film centers around Rose, a mother looking to strengthen her bond with her estranged son who is WWE fan. Going the extra mile, the loving mother begins training to become a wrestling diva. The comedy/drama follows Rose as she finds a job in a supermarket and convinces her new cashier colleagues to join her in her journey to impress her son by becoming a Queen of the Ring.
In a Women’s title match for FWE, Winter takes on former WWE Diva Melina with another former Diva – Lita - as the special referee. FWE has boasted many ex-WWE and current TNA talents such as Maria Kanellis, Brooke Tessmacher and Tara. Anyways, you can check out the championship bout below!
The Divas division is once again flawless! Early yesterday a text message had circulated that former Divas Champion Beth Phoenix had not been cleared to compete in her rematch against new champion Nikki Bella, forcing Executive Administrator Eve Torres to remove her from competition. Those pesky Bellas assumed they were going to be given the night off and were about to head home when – surprise! – Eve drops the bombshell that Nikki will be facing a mystery opponent….. they can relax! It’s not Kharma! And just who was this mystery opponent? None other than the flawless one herself, the returning Layla! For those of you who have been living under a rock for the past year, Layla had been sidelined since last year’s Extreme Rules – where she defeted former tag partner and BFFL Michelle McCool in a ‘Loser Leaves WWE’ match – with a torn MCL and ACL. After a failed attempt at Twin Magic, Layla hit the Layout on Brie, pinning her to capture her first Divas Championship!
A HUGE congratulations to Layla! It is an awful lot of hard work to come back from an injury like that, her title win was well deserved!
Former WWE Divas champion and current PWX Women’s champion Jillian Hall was challenged to a title match by Shooter Storm last night at a Pro Wrestling Xtreme show. Storm promised to rid the world of women’s wrestling for good. Jillian accepted his championship match and was screwed out of the title when Shooter Storm pinned her with his feet on the ropes. After the match Storm renamed the PWX Women’s title the PWX U.S. title! Check it all out below and let’s hope Jillian gets her championship back!
