OhSoDivalicious has been very lucky to get in contact with Shimmer’s LuFisto, real name Genny Goulet. In our exclusive interview with the French Canadian she talks about the people, both male and female who inspired her to become a wrestler as well as her first wrestling experiences, plus who she’d like to face in a match, and of course we included our favourite game: Word Associations! In this enlightening interview, she also discusses the sensitive subject of her stroke with rather pleasant recovery that we’re happy to share on behalf of her. It has been an honour to get to know LuFisto on a much more personal level, we hope you enjoy reading this interview as much as we did conducting it.

Hey LuFisto, thank you for agreeing to do this interview.
Let’s start it off with how are you doing today?

LuFisto: I’m doing great. A little bit tired from my weekend though.

Growing up as a child, were you into wrestling at all? Did you see yourself becoming a full fledge wrestler or did you have other dreams and aspirations?
LuFisto: I was a little bit as a young kid but stopped watchning it completely at 10 years old. I was more into playing music and drawing. I wanted to be a designer or a musician. I was spending most of my time playing bass and sign in a alternative band.

However, by 14, I got interested in wrestling again because the drummer of my band was watching it a lot. Two years later, I decided to join the local wrestling school because I though wrestling was more challenging than music. It had everything I liked: Sport, creativity and performing. Also, everybody was telling me I wouldn’t make it through the classes… I wanted to prove people wrong.

Out of the wrestlers you watched growing up, who was your favourites?
LuFisto:As a kid, I liked of course, Hulk Hogan, Ultimate Warrior, Macho Man and Jake the Snake. When I started watching again at 14, my favorites were The Undertaker, Razor Ramon and Shawn Michaels… Plus the women, Alundra Blayze, Luna Vachon and Bull Nakano.

Carry on reading our interview with LuFisto, where she goes on to talk about how she got into wrestling, what her training was like, her favourite wrestlers and much more! … read more »

The OhSoDivalicious family are totally honored at the privilege of getting in touch with April Hunter and being able to interview her, as she so kindly accepted our offer. In the space of a few questions in regard to her wrestling career and her more personal side, we have come to know her as a really friendly, genuine individual with outspoken views on things such as how wrestling isn’t run the way it should be, offering her opinion to back it up. She’s a very talented wrestler, with loads of experience in working with the ladies in TNA and her lovely personality shines through this interview.

She also sent us ten gorgeous photos from a variety of photoshoots and moments in her career, which we’ve decided to share with you guys too. Click on the thumbnails below the interview to view them, April isn’t just a sweet person, she’s stunning too. When you see the pictures, we’re sure you’ll agree. The interview is below, it’s truely a great read.

Thank you for agreeing to do this interview with us, April. How are you doing today?
April Hunter: Wishing it wasn’t raining out. Not only does it make my knees hurt, but my dogs really wanted to go to the dog park….You asked. ;)

Why did you get into the wrestling business?
April Hunter: I was built for it. Tall and strong…I just kind of ended up here since I was in fitness magazines already.

What was it like to be trained by Killer Kowalski?
April Hunter: He was awesome. Grumpy and strict, kind hearted and a stickler for detail. I wouldn’t have wished anyone else to train me. A Kowalski student always stands out. It was the Harvard of wrestling schools.

Alice, a big fan of you, wanted to know who you faced in your first ever match and what your feelings were of that match?
April Hunter: I actually had a few “pre match” matches…where I ran in and did a 2-3 minute spot with someone while managing another guy…my first spot like that was with  John Walters. I was so nervous, even though we’d trained together 4x a week for 1.5 years. My first real match was a mixed tag vs Dawn Marie and Simon Diamond. They were late to the venue…I was hyperventilating with nerves. They were ‘old pros’ though and totally took control. Afterwards, Dawn hung out and gave me a lot of good advice…I’d always appreciated that.

The OhSoDivalicious family had the privilege and honor of getting in touch with Annie Social. She most graciously accepted our offer of an interview.  In the course of our dialogue with Annie Social, we have come to know her as a very sweet, caring, and genuine individual. She’s a very talented wrestler with a great personality and unique ‘bitter’ persona.  Annie Social shared with us her entry into the wrestling business, her favorite opponents,  her thoughts on the current music scene,  and so much more We would like to express our deepest and utmost gratitude to her for granting this interview and allowing us to get to know her. Check the interview out and learn about Annie Social aka Nancy Becker!

Thank you for agreeing to do this interview. How are you doing today?
Annie Social: I’m great!

How did you get into the wrestling business?
Annie Social: I was working at a bar in Center City (Philadelphia) and a promoter for WEW and DWOW came in to visit a girl I worked with. He asked me if I’d like to be a part of their event as an oil wrestler and I agreed. I oil wrestled for a few years at their live events and decided that I wanted to train to be a pro wrestler. A friend I met at DWOW/WEW introduced me to Trent Acid and Johnny Kashmere and I began training at their school. I also trained with Gary Wolf, Mike Kehner and Sumie Sakai during my time there.

You weren’t a fan of wrestling when you were growing up, but rather a fan of boxing. How does your love of boxing affect your wrestling style?
Annie Social: Watching boxing and training as a boxer helped me tremendously. Everything from the footwork drills to the conditioning drills comes in handy in wrestling. I’m also able to protect myself a bit more in the ring.

What were your thoughts on your debut match? Who did you face?
Annie Social: I had several matches at DWOW and WEW before what I would count as my pro debut. After training for several months at PWU, I was put in a tag match. I tagged with Sumie Sakai against Mickie Knuckles and Amy Lee. I honestly didn’t feel quite ready at the time. Had I been better prepared, I would have done a much better job. It was definitely a learning experience. All of the wrestlers involved in that match are exceedingly good at what they do. I just wish I was more skilled at the time. If I could go back and do it over again, I definitely would.

Are there any wrestlers that influenced your wrestling or gimmick?
Annie Social: The guys I trained with influenced my wrestling a lot. I trained 4 days a week with Devon Moore and Detox and I feel like I took a lot from both of their styles.

Read after the cut about  her favorite opponents, Roxxie Cotton, Alexa Thatcher, and so much more!

Thank you for agreeing to do this interview, how are you doing today?
Doing great, thanks! Enjoying the beautiful Tampa sunshine right now. :)

One of our readers, Katalanna, (who’s a big fan of yours!), asked, out of all the billions of professions in the world, why was wrestling the profession you chose?
Hi Katalanna, thanks for the love! :) My decision to become a professional wrestler was one I made a long time ago, actually I can pinpoint the exact day, which was when I attended WrestleMania 10 at Madison Square Garden. This was the first live event I’d ever experienced, and was a gift from my parents for my 12th birthday. I’m pretty sure if they could take back any gift they’ve ever given me, this would be it! Haha! I was just completely enthralled with the whole experience and said to myself “ok, now I know what I want to do when I grow up!” I’ve had other jobs, I’ve been everything from a bartender to executive assistant, but to me wrestling is the best job in the world and the one I get the most joy and personal satisfaction from.

How did you get into the wrestling business?
The old fashioned way; found a wrestling school, trained, and worked any and every show I could trying to get my name out there and gain experience.

How would you describe your time in Combat Zone Wrestling?
I only worked a few shows for them several years ago, I remember having fun there. I was managing Jimmy Jacobs who I learned a lot from and had a lot of friends there too at the time.

Continue to read about her automobile accident, Sunny, & Much Much More!!

Kathy discussed how she got into wrestling, her feud with Ivory, her short time in WCW, what’s on her iPod, and much much more. We would like to express our deepest and upmost gratitude to her. Kathy is so down to earth and a remarkable woman. The OSD Family was so pleased to get into contact with Kathy. Check the interview out!

A fan, Cammie, asked, how did you get into the wrestling business?
Kathy: Well, lets see. First of all I grew up with 3 brothers. I moved to Florida and met some friends that were doing indy shows and they asked if I would valet for them. I did and loved it and sent my stuff to WWF at the time. They called and flew me to Stanford. The offices there are amazing. I was actually there with Scotty 2 Hotty.

When you got into the WWE, you were an “EMT”. What was it like to have that gimmick?
Kathy: It was great. Not the gimmick I was expecting specially with a name like Barbara bush, lol. But I would have taken anything they wanted and I’m grateful for the opportunity. It was incredible.

What were your thoughts once you made the transition from EMT to a full fledged Diva?
Kathy: It was a dream come true. I couldn’t believe how lucky I was and felt. It was the best experience of my life.

As Barbara Bush, you had problems with Ivory. What was it like to work with Ivory?
Kathy: Ivory was awesome. We got along very well. Shes so down to earth and really a great person…real.

Sam, asked if you had you received any wrestling training from the WWE during your time there?
Kathy: Not with them but I did train at a school that was in Florida prior to WWE.

Hey! Thank you for agreeing to do this interview. Let’s start it off with how are you doing today?

Lizzy: Im a little bit under the weather, but I will survive, haha

Why did you decide to become a professional wrestler?

Lizzy: I always loved wrestling! I watched it since childhood, and when I was 14 I decided that I was going to go for it. I love to entertain people, and love being athletic. Most of all, I love being able to travel all over the world and meet my amazing fans.

How did going to the Professional Performing Arts School in New York City impact your wrestling career?

Lizzy: It prepared me to work in front of an audience!!

What were your thoughts going into your first match ever?
Lizzy: I was really nervous, but once I stepped thru the curtains, I was totally fine. That’s when the stage fright disappears for me.

You had a brief stint in NWA-TNA as a member of Bitchslap with Traci Brooks and Nurse Veronica ( Simply Luscious). What was it like to work with these ladies?
Lizzy: Wow It was so long ago I can barely remember, haha. They are awesome.

The OhSoDivalicious family had the honour of sending in some questions to the independent wrestling Diva, “The Lyoness” Vicky Lyons! Vicky discussed what made her want to get into wrestling, her dream match, her favourite member of TNA’s Beautiful People and much more! We would like to express our deepest and upmost gratitude to her. Vicky is totally down to earth and speaks her mind. It really was exciting and such a pleasure to be in contact with her. Now let’s get to the interview!

To the fans who might not be too familiar with you, sum yourself up in ten words.
Vicky: I am a carefree, out going, out spoken stubborn Texas girl that has no problem telling you exactly what’s on my mind!

You stated on your Myspace page that when you were only 4 years old, you were involved in a hit and run incident. You said the doctor’s told your parents that you would never walk or talk again. What were the thoughts running through your head when you proved them wrong and began your wrestling training?
Vicky: Honestly, when I proved everyone wrong, I wanted to rub it in everyone’s face! But, that’s not the kind of person I am! I sure felt like it though.

What was it about wrestling that made you want to get into the business?
Vicky: I love the physical aspect of wrestling. When I was a kid, my parent’s always tried to shelter me because of my accident, but I always found some way to give them a heart attack! (I was always jumping off my bunk bed and climbing on cabinets.)

How did you get into the wrestling business?

Vicky: I wish I could have started wrestling earlier then I did, but I waited until I was done with doctors and surgeries. I always talked about wanting to get into wrestling, just like the doctor’s, no one believe I could do it. Well, that just made want to prove them wrong about one more thing! It’s like Dr. Stevie says, I’ll show you, you’ll see! I love Dr. Stevie! Everyone told me told me that because of my disabilities the wrestling industry would not take me seriously. I was starting to believe everyone, and didn’t bother trying to do anything about it! Until one day, I was sitting in my house in Plano, Texas watching WWE and I saw the most impressive debut of the wrestler that inspired me to go for my dream, and that wrestler was Zack Gowen. After I heard his story, I thought if he can do it, I could do it.  I then started searching for schools in Texas. Sure enough, I found a school that literally was five minutes from where I lived. (I took this as a sign!) That school closed about four years ago. That is when I started a search again. Every time, I did an Internet Search, this place called HIGHSPOTS kept coming up. I researched it and packed up and moved to Charlotte, North Carolina. (Most people thought I was crazy, but that’s me!)
