: The Battle of The Weight Lifting Divas

Over the past couple of weeks Kaitlyn has been involved in this new storyline where she has a “secret admirer” that sends her gifts that only she finds interesting and in doing so this has propelled her on screen role more as she has had a sleuth of matches and victories over the WWE Divas.

This week proves no different as she battles another Weightlifting Diva in Aksana.

Look Below:

Stephen’s Reaction:

I honestly enjoyed the match. I feel that Aksana is getting better with more ring time on the main roster and she proved this tonight. Her dominating Kaitlyn was really good and I especially loved that backbreaker mainly because Kaitlyn and Tamina are supposed to be the strongest Divas right now, but with Aksana being less muscular, but able to lift Kaitlyn only for a few seconds, I found it genius. I like Kaitlyn’s spear also. I think a Diva utilizing the spear makes it more versatile.

Who else feels Natalya is the secret admirer and this whole thing is building towards a feud between them two? Or Maybe the debut of Anya, Charlotte or Paige?

: The Battle of the Ladies in Pink

This week on Impact, it was Velvet Sky going against Gail Kim as this was a non title match this week on Impact. Would Velvet get another win on her long time rival or will Gail Kim get a win over the champion and secure a victory with this mean streak to get a title shot? Let’s watch below.

OhSoDivaLicious Thoughts

Before I go on, did anyone notice that Velvet was wearing blue and then in the match, in pink? Looks like their was an error right there, but regardless, the both of them were in pink. The match was pretty decent this week with Gail proving that she is the dominant one in the match while Velvet proved that she was not going to go down with out a fight despite this knee injury. I liked the match despite the roll up at the end which seems to be the common case here now in TNA. I know Velvet hit In Yo Face Last week on Tara, but I was expecting this to be honest with Gail dominating over the knee. However after the match and surprisingly Taz did say it, Gail Kim might have went a little bit too fair in her actions with Velvet’s knee injury, but then again, she’s proving a point and going to injury someone in her way. Match was decent, but I still like their Knockouts title match at Lockdown.

It should be also said that once again, Mickie James is getting another championship shot against Velvet Sky. IF Mickie was not to win this match, should end up heel? I have a feeling she will, but don’t get me wrong, I feel like Mickie really does not need title shots after title shots when she loses. Sure you may not agree with me, but I feel like she doesn’t need it all the time. I could say the same thing about my favorites as well.

: Kaitlyn Continues With Her Secret Admirer While AJ, Natalya & Khali Chime In.

Divas Champ Kaitlyn hasn’t been used in a feud as of late unless you count the countless times she’s defeated Tamina Snuka and AJ Lee. Lately she’s been wrapped up in this “secret admirer” storyline where she believes one of the WWE Superstars is crushing on her and from what’s been flying around it seems as if this is a storyline to boost a feud between Kaitlyn, AJ and The Bellas, but let’s see how that plays out.

On SmackDown, Kaitlyn had a backstage segment where she was texting her “admirer” while AJ, Natalya and the Great Khali add in for some comedic effect.

: Paige Rids NXT of Barbies while Bayley Goes for Round 3

Paige & Summer’s feud on NXT has surely been heating up over the past few months; however, I thought that last weeks grudge match was the end for the feud, but I guess not.

This week on NXT Paige takes on Bayley in what is Bayley’s third match and third loss.

Watch Below:

Stephen’s Thoughts:

I thought it was an okay match, but it was very random in my eyes. Bayley is not a staple on NXT like Paige, Emma, Summer or Sasha. She falls into Audrey Marie’s corner of being an irrelevant Diva in NXT. I liked the aggression both women displayed especially Bayley since she is often manhandled and then pinned. I think they worked great together, then again I do still feel the match was random for being booked. I loved Summer’s involvement at the end attacking Paige because it continues their Barbie versus AntiDiva feud that they have going on. I feel WWE should bring back the Bra&Panties match so they could have an embarrassing match where Paige would strip her to her underwear. I also feel NXT needs to utilize their other Divas more. We have yet to see Kendall Skye, Anya or Charlotte debut in the ring so they need a chance to shine. With the introduction of the NXT Divas Title we may see more women step up in NXT to face off, but only time will tell.

: Hardcore Pigeons reunite and Gail is not happy!

This week on Impact, TNA Knockouts Champion, Velvet Sky teamed up with Mickie James to take on the team of Gail Kim and Tara this week on the show. Let’s watch to see what happened this week as well as a thought right at the end on the match.

OhSoDivalicious Thoughts

With the exception of Tara giving Jesse her lollipop that was right in her mouth (GROSS), I felt like this match was decent this week with the four of them. Velvet didn’t seem to have a problem with the knee this week at all (Maybe its because she didn’t work most of the match), but she was able to hit the In Yo Face finisher on Tara this week. The big story here after this match is Gail Kim attacking Tara right after and again, doing that Figure Four Leg lock right on the pole on the outside to make ODB break up the pin. Gail has been full with rage as of late and seems to be making a statement here that she doesn’t want to be mess around here. I don’t want to be the one to fall victim to this yet.

: Hot Mess Teams with Hardcore Country, but pays a price at the end!

A little late with this which I apologize for, but this week on Impact, we focus on a knockouts tag team match with Taryn Terrell teaming up with Mickie James to take on the team of Gail Kim and Tara this week. Let’s looked what happened this week on Impact and I will leave thoughts on the bottom.

OhSoDivalicious Thoughts

I couldn’t find the backstage segment with Gail Kim talking with Tara, but from what I remember, you could tell the anger in her voice about Taryn Terrell with her being all over the Knockouts Website page and how she was Knockout of the month. Kind of puts more jealously of Gail Kim into her character which I like. The match itself was pretty decent as well and I liked it to be honest, but going to be real for a minute. While I did like Mickie and Taryn teaming up with one another and Taryn has been improving, why is Taryn always using the roll up? I know Velvet Sky did it, but this is getting to be a little too much with the roll ups and I feel like Taryn should have a finisher or something. WWE did it too much with the Divas back in 2011 and now TNA is doing it.

I did like the post match attack with Gail Kim and it makes this feud interesting with the both of them even more and I thought the figure four leg lock around the poll was sick as well. Shows Gail got more of a meaner side to her and can get violent as well.

So what do I want to see next week? Another singles match with Taryn Terrell and Gail Kim or maybe a knockouts tag team match with Velvet Sky and Taryn Terrell against Tara and Gail Kim. Who knows.

SmackDown ReBound April 26, 2013 – International Flavor as England’s Layla takes on Lithuania’s Aksana

Lately SmackDown has really been bringing the Divas action giving us something each week to hold onto and this week makes no difference as WWE has treated us to an international match of sorts as England’s own Layla takes on Lithuania export Aksana.

Take a look below:

Reaction:

I thought this match was pretty good. Layla is indeed one of the best wrestlers on the roster aside from Alicia and Natalya so I must say each match she is in is pretty good. This was by far the best Aksana has looked in her entire time in WWE so I must point her out in the post. I feel Aksana looked strong in this match as she really beat up Layla and even played up to the audience so I was really impressed by that and when she blocked Layla’s bombshell kick I thought that was way too impressive. I think the division is slowly coming together, but WWE still really has no clue of what to do with it.

NXT Lookout April 24, 2013 – Former Chickbusters do Battle

This Week on NXT the main roster Divas took over as Kaitlyn defended her Divas Title against her former friend and tag team partner, AJ Lee.

Take a look below:

Reaction:

I liked the match for what it was. I still believe Kaitlyn isn’t the greatest wrestler, but she has improved a lot since her NXT days. I feel WWE really has no clue of what to do with the Divas division nor the title hence why Kaitlyn barely gets any screen or ring time and when she does its on NXT. AJ Lee looked great here as well. She is obviously more ring savvy than Kaitlyn and it showed here in this match. I loved the ending. I feel every time AJ and Kaitlyn do battle, Kaitlyn pulls that spear out of nowhere on AJ and just takes her out in one quick swipe.

B+ for this match, because I felt something was lacking just not sure of what it was.

: Two Matches to Celebrate “Knockouts Day”

With the brand new Knockouts Website launched yesterday, us Knockout Fans were in for a treat. Not only was the Knockouts title on the line, but we got a second match with Taryn Terrell going against Tara this week on Impact. Let’s watch these matches and will leave my thoughts on them below.

OhSoDivalicious Thoughts
Well, I was kind of surprised we got two matches, but I am sure with the release of the new website, we deserved it. Starting with the first match of the night. I liked it and I liked the fact how Taryn was playing the underdog the whole entire time. Also, I also liked the fact that Jesse was not involved in this match either! Tara proved what she had to do in the match against Taryn, but Taryn was the better one of the night with the roll up to shock Taryn. Good for her this week.

The Knockouts Title match, I was a little concerned since last week with Velvet and her recent knee injury and how it would play up in the match. While I did like the match because I felt the fans played a role as they were into this one more then the first match. Mickie was pulling out everything to make sure Velvet’s reign would end on Impact, but Velvet, despite the knee injury, was fighting back. Now for the finish and I do need to express the ending. I felt it was too fast and abrupt. I know that Velvet is not 100% with the knee, so I understood what she did, but it looked like her shoulders were down along with Mickie’s so in my opinion, the match should have been a draw thus Velvet retaining. Kind of surprised that Mickie didn’t snap as I was expecting her too. The match was good itself, but sloppy ending.

So, where do we go from here? Does Mickie James vs. Velvet Sky continue for a feud or we move to a another contender. Thus far, Velvet has retained over the likes of Tara, Gail Kim and now Mickie James. Should Mickie keep on feuding and finally turn heel? Only time would tell.

: Mickie and Tess Rumble in Texas for a shot at Velvet’s title.

Taking a break this week from the Taryn and and Gail saga that has been going on, this week, the attention focuses on Velvet Sky’s championship where this week, Mickie James and Miss Tessmacher faced off against one another in a match to determine the number one contender to Velvet Sky’s Championship. Watch the videos and I will leave my thoughts at the bottom.

OhSoDivalicious Thoughts

If my math is correct, this is the fifth time that these two faced off together (2 Title matches, one back in 2011 where Mickie was the champion, Tessmacher was the challenger, The Queen’s Challenge Qualifier for Bound for Glory 2011, one in 2012 where it was Vice Versa where Tessmacher was the champion, Mickie was the challenger and on an episode of Xplosion). Out of those five, I wasn’t too keen on this one. Maybe because of ODB being the referee in this match and her constant yelling or maybe something didn’t click here for me in the match. That’s just an opinion I have on that.

But right after the match, Mickie James would cut a promo and then challenge Velvet Sky for the Knockouts Championship next week on Impact. My thoughts on that is, if they want to have a rivalry for the title with Mickie and Velvet, have Velvet retain in this match and for a bit, have Mickie and Velvet team until Mickie can turn heel as the both of them can possibly feud at the next pay per view. There are so many possibilities for this to happen.
