StarStruck Does SDSD: Cheesy mindgames do not pay off!
Welcome to Smackdown Smacked Down! This week I have the honor of filling in for my slave-driver fantastic bossman, Trisha!
So the first glimpse we get of the divas this week is a backstage segment, which begins with a close-up on a gleaming AJ Lee. The shot than pans out to reveal WWE broadcast correspondent Jack Korpela who introduces AJ and begins an interview. Jack goes on to ask her how she feels about being apart of the WWE, she responds with “Dude I am so psyched, I have my first singles match tonight”, but she then gets interrupted by fellow Smackdown divas, Tamina and Rosa Mendes. Tamina comes in saying “Hey, mini-mouse, here is a welcome gift” and she throws the gift at AJ, who is then confused to find cheese when she opens the gift. Rosa then responds with “Queso. For a little mousey loser like you” the heel divas giggle. AJ comes out with “You know what girls, LayCool called, they want their gimmick back” and Tamina fake-laughs (badly at that) and responds telling AJ that it was big talk for a little girl who would be alone in the ring tonight, AJ looks slightly scared, but then Natalya enters and puts her arm around AJ. Tamina and Rosa sniff the air and Rosa asks if “someone just cut the cheese?”, the two giggle and then walk off as the camera zooms in on the faces. More after the cut!

SDSD: Two for Two!
Welcome to SmackDown, Smacked Down!, a weekly dose of SmackDown’s shenanigans, with an OhSoDivalicious twist. Well, I missed last week’s coverage, but close enough. Last week we saw the SmackDown! debut of AJ alongside BFF Kaitlyn (with Natalya accompanying them) as they took on the team with “too many A’s” in their name: Tamina and Alicia Fox. This week, it’s the same match, except “too many A’s” now have a partner in crime to accompany them to the ring, the rrrreturning RRRRosa Mendes!

I know SDSD coverage has been missing something for a while, hasn’t it? The Fashion Focus hasn’t been around in, well, agessssss and I haven’t been too up-to-date with This Week in Fashion, either. To make it up to you, here’s a Mini Styles Clash!
I think AJ‘s attires have been rather simple, but very cute. The touch of cutesy skulls kept it from being too boring. Speaking of boring, I’m a little bit bored of Kaitlyn‘s style of attires. I can imagine Tamina in something like that, actually. Tamina, however, went a little edgy and it paid off. Alicia Fox also went with something new, but it didn’t work any wonders! It’s nice, but not foxy fierce.
Meanwhile, Rosa Mendes looked sleek and sexy and Natalya‘s dress reminded me of something one of my Barbie dolls has. Bonus points for feelings of nostalgia ♥.
Onto the actual wrestling! It’s under the cut.

SDSD: I’ve Got The Magic In Me…
Welcome to SmackDown, Smacked Down!, a weekly dose of SmackDown’s shenanigans, with an OhSoDivalicious twist. With a PPV lurking this Sunday, Brie Bella took on Natalya. Will she be able to gain any momentum before she takes on Kelly Kelly? The better question is will Kharma be lurking anywhere tonight? Well, read on to find out!
• Watch Video • View Digitals •
(Digitals will be added when WWE.Com adds them, SDSD is up a little early!)
Just announced, unless you follow The Bella Twins on Twitter, Brie Bella will be taking on Kelly Kelly for the Divas title. Todd Grisham is standing by Brie and Nikki Bella and we flash back to Monday Night Raw, when the Bellas attempted to attack Kharma, as the twins roll their eyes at the mention of it. Post-clip, Brie is put on the spot and asked why she left Nikki to be attacked on Raw. They argue about who attacked Kharma first with Nikki claiming that when the “going got rough, you got going and ran away,” but Brie countered this by stating that her sister would do the same. Let’s face it, I think we all would. Brie then whines about having to face Kelly Kelly at Over The Limit and facing “that powerful wench” Natalya tonight and huffs “can we PLEASE get on the same page?” Nikki declares that they were never off as they strut away while Todd Grisham wishes them luck.
To the left is the official cover art of The Bella Twins’ theme song “You Can Look, But You Can’t Touch” by Jim Johnson and Kim Sozzi. It has just recently been released on iTunes, so if you’re a fan of their theme song, click the cover to be redirected to the iTunes website where you can purchase it for $1.29.
Cheap plug out of the way, the Bellas make their way to the ring and Nikki fans/bows to Brie. Um, okay? The crowd is rather dead too. Natalya’s music hits and that changes. I love the shade of her attire, it’s like a bubblegum pink that is utterly adorable! Brie holds up her title in the ring, while Nattie couldn’t care less as she smooches a member of the audience. The Bella Twin continues the flaunt with the Divas Championship, but she might as well give it up as a bad job because Natalya has pretty much ignored her opponent since stepping into the ring. No, really:
The bell rings and the two Divas lock up, with Nattie attempting to chuck Brie in the corner, in which Brie is able to counter. Let’s take Brie seriously now. She decides to mock Natalya by flashing an “L” for loser sign. Very serious business. They lock up again and Natalya grabs Brie into a headlock takedown (Is that the legit name?) but then Brie switches things into her momentum as she uses her legs to grab Natalya’s head. Nattie jumps out and smiles at Brie. She grabs Brie, who then has sexual relations with the ropes, forcing Nattie away. Natalya does some funky flip. It’s actually rather impressive. Brie goes to hit Natalya and they end up rolling into some sort of pin, which only gets a one-count. Nattie then attempts a Sharpshooter but Brie’s back onto the ropes. She tries to slide out for a breather, but Natalya goes for the Divas Champion, which doesn’t end too well for the Dungeon Diva.
I swear to you, this actually happened. The Bella Twins did not switch while Brie was outside of the ring. She actually went right back into the ring to trash talk Natalya before attacking her left arm. Despite Brie’s new found mean streak, she’s still no match for Natalya’s strength. Nattie then slaps the taste out of Brie’s mouth, then Brie tries to Clothesline Nattie. Instead, Nattie Clotheslines Brie. Slingshotted into the ropes, Nattie capitalises with a kick and then hits a Discus Clothesline for a two-count. She favours the left arm before lifting Brie up for a dominating Suplex. She then chucks the Bella Twin onto the mat and dropkicks her back. Brie bounces around as Nattie goes for a pin. Two-count.
As Natalya goes for Brie, Brie cowers into the ropes, yet again. The ref is very hands-on to prevent Natalya attacking Brie while she continues to grab the ropes. Brie kicks Natalya in the right knee, OUCH! She then shoves Nattie into the corner, onto her left arm which was previously attacked throughout the match before hitting her Facebuster finisher for the three-count.
SmackDown, Smacked Down!: To The Flaw…
Welcome to SmackDown, Smacked Down!, a weekly dose of SmackDown’s shenanigans, with an OhSoDivalicious twist. A thousand thanks to Max for covering SDSD! last week and bringing sexy blue brand coverage back (With a super-hot new logo too!).
This week’s match was a bout between two former friends, two former partners in crime. The flawless duo of Michelle McCool and Layla faced eachother after two weeks of failed couples’ counseling. Wahh!
• Watch Video • View Digitals •
“You’re not enough for me…” hits the arena and Michelle McCool is all business. She struts down to the ring and does her usual poses while Michael Cole is all BLAH BLAH BLAH, claiming that it is Michelle who carries/carried Layla throughout their time as the LayCool duo. Uh, I disagree, though that may just be biased. Anywho, Layla then makes her way down to the ring, after a commercial break. She is using the same music – what ever happened to Layla’s fierce, old theme song “Nasty Girl”?
Layla’s like a little lamb, well, without a fleece as white as snow (Her purple attire is a much better choice anyway). She’s so timid as she makes her way to the ring, not bothering to acknowledge the crowd as she fixes her sights onto her former BFF. The bell rings and Layla goes schizo! Both ladies battle into the ropes, until Michelle’s height advantage comes into play as she tosses Layla away from her. Layla doesn’t let Michelle push her around, as she’s back onto the offense by pulling Michelle back down. The two brawl until they roll out of the ring and onto the concrete. Ooh! It’s going down now!
They continue to brawl, with Michelle having the upper-hand, fist and anything else she’s throwing at Layla. Payback is most certainly a bitch as ‘Chelle gives Lay the same treatment she had once received, thanks to the guard rail. Layla gets some payback, but ends up eating Michelle’s boot. Twice. Meanwhile, the referee counts to ten. Both ladies lose the match, but that isn’t what really matters between them. They continue to fight, despite referees trying to stop them. The crowd would love them to continue fighting too, but the referees keep them apart to the best of their ability.
Layla goes to get a microphone, telling Michelle she’s “sick of this” and she’s sick of her. She wants a “real match” at Extreme Rules, without count-outs or DQs to “finally shut you up”. I actually LOVE this feisty, serious Layla. She walks off and Michelle grabs a microphone, really offended at what Layla just said. She accepts Layla’s challenge under one condition, but what could it be?
“LOSER. LEAVES. SMACKDOWN. WWE.” (Love the bad edit, it made me chuckle!)
Layla simply states “you’re on,” and it’s on, it’s on, it’s on, like Camp Rock 2.
Yes, I just made that reference.
Starstruck does SDSD!: There’s a Flaw in Flawless!

I’m stepping in for Trisha this week doing the Smackdown coverage!
Apparently there was a dark match that happened on Smackdown that was Beth Phoenix against Layla, it’s a shame we didn’t get to see that. So with the match that happened being a dark match, the only time we see the divas on the show is the LayCool backstage “therapy” segment.
Before the segment begins we see a replay of the couples therapy session from the previous week, Michelle gets all irked and walks off as Layla is gobsmacked. And we then see a replay of the match from last week, which was Layla against Kelly Kelly, in which Kelly was victorious with a roll-up after hitting a sit-out style facebuster on the outside, which was followed by Michelle throwing Layla into the ring. Finally we see the replay of the push from Michelle to Layla and Lay being all sad while Chelle is shouting. Read more after the cut.

SD,SD: Faith, Heart & SPEARS!
It’s been a while since I’ve done a Smackdown, Smacked Down! post – have you missed it? Due to popular demand, we’re going to try and sort out show write-ups again – I’m just kidding, the blue brand was pretty interesting this week, so it needs a write-up… If I can find the words to describe how much we all enjoyed it. Let’s get on with the show!
Opening the show is none other than the lovely Vickie Guerrero “EXCUSE ME!”-ing her way into the ring. She claims that tonight’s show will be a Smackdown! that we will never forget. She announces that Dolph Ziggler will team with LayCool – Michelle McCool and Layla – to take on Edge and Kelly Kelly. She also orders “that little tramp” (her words, not mine!) to get down to the ring. There is no Fashion Focus in this post since This Week in Fashion will be posted tomorrow, but I have to say that I like the look of Kelly’s new attire. Kelly comes down to the ring like a woman on a mission and when she gets down there, Vickie wants to know who she thinks she is after what happened at the Royal Rumble. She then plays the Blame Game, while Kelly just doesn’t look amused.
Vickie then toys with the idea of firing Kelly, but then claims that she’d rather break down her dignity by making her the reason Edge will lose his title tonight. She challenges that Kelly Kelly has forgotten who she is dealing with, but Kelly says Vickie’s the one who’s been trying to destroy her character. Maybe Vickie should fire her, but maybe she should just quit. The “little Barbie” gets a little ghetto attitude going on before she calls Vickie a “vindictive, paranoid, power-hungry WITCH,” yes, she said witch. This is the part where Dolph Ziggler steps in and blames Kelly some more before averting everyone’s attention to a blurry screencapture of him getting speared. The Uncrowned World Heavyweight Champion says that there’s only one reason Kelly’s allowed to be in the ring, basically she’s going to be the reason Edge loses his match later on. Has anybody got any faith in Kelly Kelly? There’s no use for K2 now, so byebyebye.

SDSD: Second Time’s The Charm & WWE Superstars Spoilers
The blue brand will go live for the second time this year so prepare yourself for another Smackdown, Smacked Down! live coverage! Already, we know that one of our favourite Divas, Vickie Guerrero will be in action as she teams up with her boyfriend, Dolph Ziggler, to take on John Cena in a two-on-one handicap match!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Highlight the box below to reveal the Divalicious spoilers for this Thursday’s WWE Superstars show. Credit for the spoilers goes to ProWrestling.net!
Beth Phoenix and Kelly Kelly defeated Michelle McCool and Layla.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Me and Marcella LOVE the new Smackdown intro but we hate the song and we start things off with Miz (with his boyfriend Alex Riley) vs. Randy Orton. Marcella wants me to tell the world she wubs his panties. Orton won the match with a three count, but on the three count A-Ri punched him which caused a DQ. Great way to kick off SD by making no sense!
Rosa Mendes is seen with Santa (it’s Big Show). She hands out a present to a bald man. Hornswoggle is Santa’s little helper but I like his other little helper better, she is SEXYYYYYYYYYYYYYY! Smackdown goes to ads. Continue Reading… »
SDSD: Laycool Wigs Out
Welcome to this weeks Smackdown, Smacked Down! This week on Smackdown, we were treated to a Divas tag team match between Laycool and the team of Kelly Kelly and Natalya!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Team Laycool are in the ring dressed up as members of the Hart family. Layla is in Natalya’s ring attire, wearing a blonde wig with pink extensions and a big beard! Michelle’s dressed in big baggy old man jeans, a leather jacket, Hart Dynasty t-shirt and a black wig. Chimel announces a Divas tag match, but Layla snatches the mic from him. She introduces WWE Legend and her uncle… Bret ‘The Hitman’ Hart (also known as Michelle McCool). Layla growls Natalya’s “YEAHH BABYYYY” in a deep, manly voice.
Bret says seems though nobody knows who she Natalya is. She’s the only third generation Diva and a disgrace to the Hart family. Layla copies Nattie’s signature laughing taunt to the extreme. Layla aks Michelle if the people in Canada worship them, eh! Michelle says not Natalya, they worship me. She says she worships Laycool as they’re flawless. Natalya’s heard enough as her entrance music hits the PA System. Out comes Kelly Kelly and the hometown girl, Natalya. Natalya will take on Layla this Sunday at Bragging Rights for the Divas championship.
The bell rings as Natalya stares down Layla. Nattie quickly goes for a waist lock, which Layla gets out of by hitting Nattie with a couple of elbow-to-the-head shots. Layla kicks Nattie in the gut and pushes her over to the ropes. She chokes her out on the top rope with her foot. Layla backs up due to the ref telling her off. This allows Michelle McCool to kick Nattie in the face. Continue Reading… »
SDSD: Short & Sweet
Welcome to this weeks Smackdown, Smacked Down! This week on Smackdown, we were treated to a singles match between Layla and Kelly Kelly! Natalya and McCool were featured at ringside also! Vickie Guerrero and her rookie Diva Kaitlyn made an appearance too!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Due to my schedule this week, I’m gonna keep this short and sweet, as the title of this post suggests! I quite liked the match, I thought it was a better one from these two. The ending came about when Layla hit the Layout on K2. Laycool legged it after the match as Natalya went to check on Kelly, but Layla being Layla, ran in the ring and tried thumping Nattie, who tried to give Layla the Sharpshooter! But Layla got away and Laycool retreated up the ramp!
Vickie and Kaitlyn were also featured. Vickie accompanied her boyfriend, Dolph, to ringside. However, she and Kaitlyn swapsied ad it was Kaitlyn who ended up managing Dolph for the match! She grabbed ahold of MVP’s leg, distracting him, allowing Dolph to hit the Zig Zag for the win… NAUGHTY!
SDSD: The Live Edition, It’s On!
Welcome to this weeks Smackdown, Smacked Down! Tonight marks Smackdown’s move to the SyFy channel (here in the UK it stays on Sky Sports) which means for a special one off live edition of Smackdown! What will happen on tonights live Friday Night Smackdown?! Stay tuned to the TV or my coverage to find out! You can vote in a poll after the cut and relive the action by visiting our official video source, Jokerwilds!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
SD kicks off with a new opening and a rubbish new theme! The first match is an Intercontinental championship match between MVP and Dolph Ziggler, who has Vickie Guerrero in his corner. Nexus members Heath Slater, Justin Gabriel, David Otunga and Michael Tarver all come out and cause the match to end. Vickie Guerrero is screaming, very upset that they’re beating up Dolph!
Eight Divas Tag Team Match: Maryse, Alicia Fox and Laycool vs. Natalya, Kelly, and the Bella Twins. Laycool, Maryse and Alicia Fox make their way out first. Natalya, Brie, Nikki and K2 come out as the face team! I like how they’re colour co-ordinated, pink and black for Nattie yay! Kelly and Alicia start off. Alicia kicks Kelly and lifts her up for a scoop slam, but Kelly drops down her back and the two hit each other with a double clothesline. Fox tags Maryse and K2 tags Natalya. Natalya hits an double underhook suplex, picks up Maryse and hits a snap suplex before picking her up one last time for a sitout scoop slam! She goes for a pin but gets a two count. Maryse gets up but is knocked straight back down with a discus clothesline. She goes for the sharpshooter but Michelle runs in and knocks Nattie out with a big boot. The Bellas then double dropkick Michelle. Alicia comes in and throws a Bella out as the other Bella throws Michelle out. Alicia turns around and slings the other Bella out too. She turns around into a Lou Thesz press from Kelly Kelly. Natalya goes to get on the apron but is yanked off by Layla. Layla prances around screaming “FLAWLESS! I’M FLAWLESS” but she gets tripped up by Hornswoggle, who chases her around the ring. They do one lap before Michelle hits a big boot on Hornsy. LMFAO! LOVE IT! Natalya hits a dropkick on both members of Laycool from inside the ring. Maryse gets to her feet and as Nattie turns around, Maryse locks her in the hold for the French Kiss. She goes for her hair flip, but Natalya powers her down and locks in the sharpshooter. Maryse eventually taps out as the Unified Divas champs back up the ramp. The girls celebrate in the ring and give hugs to UGLIEEE Hornswoggle as we find out that Natalya will take on Michelle at Hell In A Cell this Sunday for the Unified Divas title!
We get a quick ad on the all Diva NXT, saying that it will not continue to air in the U.S., but the American viewers can watch it exclusively on the WWE website.
We all know Maryse isn’t a stranger to weird animal costumes, so who thinks it’s her in the eagle outfit? LOL! OH the eagle got served by Edge. Somehow I don’t think it was Maryse afterall. ;)
OOH! Marcella will be pleased as DASHING CODY RHODES is out with his naked knees. O BAI CODY! Randy Orton crawls around like such a weirdo!
