Groove, slam, work it back, it’s time to get so STARSTRUCK again! For a second Thursday in a row on WWE Superstars, the Divas from Smackdown to centre stage. In the main event match, Kelly Kelly took on one half of the self professed co-Women’s champions, Michelle McCool – who had Layla and Kaval at ringside with her. Tamina also made an apperance, aiding her boys to victory in a tag match.
● Jamie Keyes: I loved Jamie’s dress. She’s really made that style (and the one sleeved dress) her own and she rocks the orange colour too!
● Michelle McCool: What’s there to say about Michelle’s attire that I haven’t said before? YAWN!
● Layla: I dunno what to think of Layla’s dress. It was an odd style, and the pattern kind of reminded me of a granny’s knitted blanket or something. She was wearing some hot boots though!
● Kelly Kelly: Kelly’s was my favourite attire this week. It was a new pink top and bottom set with a black top underneath the pink one. It really suits Kelly and her girly, bubbly personality. She’s wearing those tights again though! They need trashed.
● Tamina: Tamina was wearing a Jamie Keyes style dress made from a sparkly binbag. This outfit had to be the worst of the night. It was weird and ugly and did nothing for Tamina.
Kaval comes out with Laycool, who do their signature entrance. During that, they place their broken Women’s title together. Is it wrong to love the broken title? K2 then makes her way out in a new attire! NXT Diva, Jamie Keyes, was the ring announcer by the way.
The bell rings and the Divas tie up. Michelle McCool hits a quick firemans carry and goes into a cover. She only gets a one count. From the ground, Michelle grabs K2′s wrist and lifts her up into a hammerlock. Kelly reverses by hitting some sort of jumping snapmare. Kelly hits a droptoe hold, followed by a very BAD dropkick, then by slamming Michelle’s head to the mat. K2 howls everywhere like a rabid animal as she bangs Michelle’s face off the canvas. Groove, slam, work it back, it’s time to get so STARSTRUCK again! This Thursday on Superstars we saw a Divas match from the blue brand – Smackdown. One half of the self professed co-WWE Women’s champions, Layla (who was accompanied by Michelle McCool) took on the insatiable vegan, Tiffany!
● Tiffany: I still like this outfit, despite it being worn AGAIN! Like I said before, it’s unique and I really like the blue and yellow together.
● Michelle McCool: Michelle’s wearing some cut off shorts, a blue “FLAWLESS” tank top and some knee length brown boots! She looks hot!
● Layla: Love this outfit! I saw some digitals (or a video, I don’t remember!) of Layla wearing this at a houseshow and wondered why she hadn’t wore it on TV yet as it’s her best attire!
“Insatiable” plays as ‘Skirt Tiffany’ makes her way out in her yellow attire. The commentators compare suit jackets before the co-champs make their way out. They do their syncronized ‘FLAWLESS’ entrance and as they get to the bottom of the ramp, they mock Tiffany, pretending they are wearing a skirt. The bell rings.
They tie up and Layla gets the upper hand. She flicks Tiffy’s skirt about, but Tiffany throws a knee into Layla before being thrown off. Tiffy hits a victory roll pin for a two count. Arm drag to Layla. Lay crawls into the corner and pushes Tiffany away. She gets out and is pulled into a wrist lock. Layla reverses yelling “SKIRT TIFFANY” everywhere before Tiffy flips over and reverses. She gets Layla into a headlock before being pushed off and shoulder blocking Lay down. Groove, slam, work it back, it’s time to get so STARSTRUCK again! This week we have a double portion of Diva action – thanks WWE! To kick off Superstars, we had Gail Kim and Yoshi Tatsu teaming up to take on Jillian Hall and Primo, where the Bella twins were acting as special referees! Also, the main event of Superstars was a Divas tag match, where Laycool took on Tiffany and the number one contender for the Women’s title, Kelly Kelly!
There as a lot of outfit repeating, a lot of blue and a dash of yellow!
● The Bella Twins: Their ‘Diva-style’ referee were alright. They weren’t anything too special!
● Gail Kim: Love this attire. It’s still my favourite attire from this years WrestleMania! Gail rocks it, especially the yellow.
● Jillian Hall: I never really liked this colour or this specific attire on Jillian. Sorry!
● K2: I really liked this on Kelly. It suits her, but the shiny tights were just SCARY looking!
● Tiffany: My favourite of the night. I love Tiffany’s attire (apart from that pink and green monstrosity). It’s unique and I really like the blue and yellow together, nice one!
● Layla: Again, another outfit repeater but she’s flawless and so is the outfit, so I’ll let Layla off.
● Michelle McCool: I have to yell at Michelle almost all the time on the ‘Fashion Focus’ part of the post. I’m BORED of her attires now. Yes, they’re unique but they are boring and dull. The shade of blue is nice though.
Yoshi Tatsu & Gail Kim vs. Primo & Jillian Hall w/The Bella Twins as special referees
Superstars kicks off with the special guest referees making their way out – Nikki and Brie Bella! We get a recap of the Bella’s doing their switch-a-roo on Jillian last week. Some STUPID music then hits and out comes Primo with his tag team partner, Jillian, who doesn’t look too impressed. She gives the Bella’s a bit of attitude as Yoshi’s music plays. He comes out with Gail Kim! We learn that one Bella (Nikki) will act as the referee, and the other (Brie) will act as an inforcer on the outside.
The bell rings. Jillian and Gail circle before tieing up. Gail puts Jillian in a wrist lock but Jillian knocks her to the floor with a punch to the face. Jillian shakes off her wrist, and picks Gail up. She flings her by her hair and goes for a cover. She gets a two count and Jillian glares at Nikki. Groove, slam, work it back, it’s time to get so STARSTRUCK again! I wasn’t able to do the Starstruck post last week, so this week will be double the stars with both last weeks and this weeks Superstars matches. Last week on Superstars saw Brie Bella defeat on Jillian Hall after she switched with Nikki, allowing Nikki to get the pin. This week, Jillian had a match against Nikki Bella, and the twins were at it again! Jillian had the match in hand but after a sneaky switch-a-roo, the illegal twin (Brie Bella) got the win over Jillian.
● Jillian #1: I like this attire, but it’s not my favourite.
● Bella Twins #1: I really like the Bellas newer style of attire. The short top, shorts and leg warmer things! I think they look really cool. The silver looks nice on them too.
● Serena: Despite me not doing coverage of Serena being a bitch at ringside, I’m still doing coverage on her outfit! She looked hot and very fashionable as usual!
● Jillian #2: I’ve got a joint fave this week! This purple outfit of Jillian’s is super hot. Jillian really suits purple.
● Bella Twins #2: My other fave, the blue Bella outfit! Again, I love their newer style of attire and they rock the blue a lot better than the silver!
We start off with the “pretty portion” of WWE Superstars, according to The King! Jillian enters the ring and because everyone has World Cup fever, Jillian says after she beats Brie, everyone should sing with her! Peircing “OLE, OLE, OLEEEEE!” chants are started by Jillian – cue Brie and Nikki Bella! The twins make their way down to a big pop!
The bell rings. They lock up. Brie Bella puts Jillian into a wrist lock. She locks the hold in tighter, but Jillian grabs Brie’s hair and slams her to the mat. Brie kips up (kinda) and follows through, going behind Jilly into a hammerlock. Jillian manages to kick Brie in the back of the leg, taking her down to the mat. “Nice takedown by Jillian”, Cole says. As Brie is getting up, Jillian spanks her bottom yelling “COME ON” before walking off, laughing. She turns around and gets taken down with a Lou Thesz press from Brie! They catfight for a bit until Jillian escapes. Jillian reverses an Irish whip and throws Brie into the corner. Brie bounces off the bottom rope and wraps her legs around Jillian’s head as Jillian runs into the corner. Jillian moves backwards and drops Brie on her face! Groove, slam, work it back, it’s time to get so STARSTRUCK again! This past Thursday’s edition of Superstars only saw one Diva match, a minus to last weeks two. This weeks match I found very boring – the ultimate ‘piss break’ match, as the Divas matches are usually dubbed. Gail had one of the best Divas matches in a long while with Jillian last week, but this week, the Divas didn’t deliver! I gotta say though, I loved the ending! It was very creative and nice to see that Alicia’s getting herself over as the clever, sly bad girl.
● Alicia Fox: When I first saw this attire, I thought it was THE most disgusting thing going, but gradually, time after time of Fox wearing this, I’ve kinda grown to like it – not love it, definately not love it – but it’s alright. It’s no secret that I love green! But is it just me, or do the trouser attires make Alicia’s leg look way too long?
● Serena: My favourite attire of Superstars! I didn’t watch the Luke Gallows / Kofi Kingston match, but when I saw the digitals, I had to showcase Serena’s outfit! She’s probably one of the more fashionable Divas, even though she basically sticks to grayscale. She looks hot!
● Gail Kim: Gail’s back to her old attire, but it’s a new colour! She sticks with the pink again this week which was a good thing, as it really suits her!

One half of the ‘self-professed’ Women’s champions, Michelle McCool, took on the insatiable Tiffany. On the red brand side of things, the ‘Sliced Bread’ hitmaker Jillian Hall (who hasn’t competed in a while) took on the ‘two-time’ Women’s champ (as Cole keeps saying)Gail Kim!
But, before we get to the matches, we’ve got a new addition to the Starstruck posts which is completely jacked from Trisha’s SmackDown!, Smacked Down! posts; the Fashion Focus! You see the big kiss below? Well, the big kiss is gonna be a main feature on the Starstruck Fashion Focus. Whichever Diva has a kiss on her, means their attire was my favourite.
● Jillian Hall: Tut, tut, tut Miss outfit repeater! But hey, I will let Jillian off as she’s still working that blue attire that she won the Divas champion in! Jillian looked great last night…she’s baaaaack!
● Gail Kim: My favourite attire of the night! It’s like her WrestleMania attire, but pink. Let’s put it this way, Gail’s attire never fails to impress and she seems to look good in all of them and in all colours! Is there anything she can’t work?
● Tiffany: ‘NEE-NOR NEE-NOR’… What’s that I hear? OH! It’s the sirens of the FASHION POLICE! I mean really? What on earth was Tiffy smoking when she thought this outfit looked good? I liked the past two attires she wore on SmackDown!, but this one is a complete NO NO! This outfit really needs to be burned or packed away in a box, never to be opened again…EVER!
● Layla: Layla looks HOT in red! Then again, she’d look hot in a potato sack! I’m loving the outfit from head to toe, and that Women’s title makes a great accessory for out ‘little English muffin’..
● Michelle McCool: O HAI OUTFIT REPEATER! Jillian may have gotten away with it, but Michelle McCool doesn’t. Her attires are boring to me now – they’re the same old same old. They are just so plain to me now as I’ve seen them that many times. The colour is nice though.
Jillian Hall vs. Gail Kim
Okay so let’s get on with it! Gail Kim comes out first, to quite a big pop, shortly followed by her opponent, Jillian Hall, who like always, gets huge heat. Jillian looks really rejuvinated – that time away from competing has done her the world of good by the looks of it, she looks great! The bell has rung! They circle before tieing up. Jillian pushes Gail into the corner and then backs up after three. She runs into Gail, who dodges in a cool reversal like thing, she then rolls down and rolls Jilly up for a two count. Jillian gets straight to her feet and slams Gail down by her hair and goes in for a pin. Jillian picks up Gail and follows through with an Irish whip. She goes to hip toss Gail, but Gail reverses into another fancy pin! One count this time though. They get up and Gail drives a forearm to Jillian’s face. Jilly falls into the corner and Gail runs in with a flying clothesline. She then hits a monkey flip and dropkicks Jilian out the ring.
Jillian tumbles everywhere and Gail goes for a dropkick, but Jillian catches her, BUT Gail reverses into a huricarana. Gail runs into Jillian, who trips her. Gail bangs her head off the apron. Jillian slides in as the ref continues to count. Gail rolls in at eight, gets stomped on and her face slammed off the mat. Jillian goes psycho after another two count and bangs Gail’s head off her knee several times. Strong Irish whip to the corner into another two count pin. Jillian SCREAMS “COME ON!!!” at the ref. She’s smirking whilst punishing Gail – she’s an actual psycho tonight – I LOVE IT! Gail gets up and goes for a wheelbarrow bulldog, but Jillian reverses into a sitout Glam Slam move! Jillian covers her once, Gail kicks out, she does it again and Gail kicks out once again. She’s going M-A-D! I’m absolutely loving this psycho coming out in Jillian.
Jillian screeches and goes for her cartwheel elbow thing in the corner. Gail reverses but gets tossed back down by Jillian. Jilly goes for her Fender Bender, but Gail sticks up her knees. She runs into the corner and hits Jillz with her ‘elastic move’ and goes to the top rope. A struggle breaks out – Jillian wins and hits a superplex on Gail. They’re both down, but Jilly soon crawls into a cover. TWO COUNT! Jillian’s face is priceless, she gets up and pisses on the ref. She picks up Gail and hits her with a backslide, but Gail rolls through and Jillian Eats Defeat! Gail Kim covers for a three count. This was an absolutely amazing Divas match! It really should of been on the main stage. I love the work from these two, they’re both amazingly talented girls, it’s ashamed their matches are pushed aside for the shitty (no offence) Eve and Maryse feud.

Long time no Starstruck, eh? Well, we kick the feature back off with a Divalicious Superstars. This week in the WWE, every WWE Diva has been featured, if I’m not mistaken – apart from the injured Melina, obviously. Superstars saw a backstage segment and Beth Phoenix taking on new SmackDown! Diva, Rosa Mendes!
Things start off with Kelly Kelly in the lockerroom (below). Laycool then burst onto the scene, inquiring about a disgusting smell. They then realise it’s Kelly that smells and call her Smelly Kelly! K2 says the smell is the smell of a winner, as her and Beth beat them last week. Vickie then comes in EXCUSE ME-ing. She says she’s the ‘Queen of problem solving’. Laycool grab K2 as Vickie sprays her. K2 says..
“You’re not the official consultant to SmackDown!, you’re the official COW!”
So Simply Flawless get mad. Laycool hold her back and Vickie rolls some deodorant or something on her face. They break it up as “WHAT IS GOING ON IN HERE?!” is heard. Beth and Tiffy come onto the scene and Simply Flawless leg it. Personally, I liked the segment – but it could of been better – but it was a small but nice progression in their feud. It’s nice to see Divas backstage on Superstars too!
So next up is the match (below). Beth comes out first, followed by ROSA MENDES <3 – who gets quite the heel pop! She gets on the mic and speaks Spanish. She says her name is Rosa Mendes and Beth Phoenix’s days of being champion are over. “ADIOS GLAMAZON!” she says whilst smirking. She pats Beth on the boobula with the mic three times, showing Beth that she’s not intimidated by her – or that she’s just SILLY! Rosa shoves Beth twice and doesn’t have much luck. Beth shoves Rosa, so Rosa fires back with one of her signature bitch slaps which echoes throughout the arena. Rosa taunts the Glamazon, laughing at her – but she wasn’t laughing for long. Beth smiled sweetly at Rosa before picking her up on her shoulders and chucking her ontop of the turnbuckle. Beth kicked her down and tossed her over by her hair. Beth hits a shoulder block, a huge clothesline and a double hammer, before attempting to Irish whip Rosa into the corner. Rosa reversed however and threw Beth into the corner. Beth hit a springboard jump out of the corner, confusing Rosa slightly! Rosa then gets her head bashed off the turnbuckle. Beth punches her continously until the ref throws her off. Beth charges back into the corner, but Rosa dodges – Beth hits the turnbuckle hard! Rosa comes flying in with a huge forearm, knocking Beth down. Rosa holds back for a couple of seconds as the ref checks on Beth. She runs back in however and kicks Beth in the leg. The ref throws her off. ROSA MENDES IS NOT HAPPY! Rosa charges at Beth again, but Beth dodges this time and catches Rosa by suprise. She rolls her up for the three count. Rosa’s really mad. She’s yells “WHAT?!” and smacks the mat, as Beth’s on the outside being helped by officials. The match wasn’t excellent, but it gave both Divas decent air time! We know Beth isn’t majorly injured, which is good – so hopefully this little encounter leads somewhere. When Rosa got drafted to SD!, I originally wanted her to start annoying Beth and just completely pester her all the time and it looks like I sorta kinda got my wish! ;)
Tonight’s Saturday night threesome features three of our regular review / results posts, *Struck, Maxximum Impact and Smacked Down!. So, we kick off with the first of three tonight, the Superstars results, *Struck! You can also click for RAW IS MARCELLA and ECW Coverage.
Thursday nights Superstars featured Katie Lea Burchill taking on possible Divas champion come this Sunday, Gail Kim, in a singles match. You know me, I’m not going to drone on and on and tell you every little detail, as that’s boring to read. The match was very, very good! I loved the chemistry between both of these girls and after seeing this, to me, it puts Katie Lea in the line for a Divas title shot down the road one day. So, the match was a decent length and featured A+ action from both ladies. Gail Kim missed an Eat Defeat during the match, but ended the match by reversing Katie Lea with a snappy Eat Defeat. Maryse, Gail’s opponent this Sunday, came out whilst Gail was celebrating. She pointed down to Gail Kim and clapped her hands, smiling. PUH-LEASE! We know Maryse is gonna suddenly transform into the super bitch again when she wins the Divas title this Sunday. The match is below..

Last weeks Diva tag match was tagged by myself as title worthy, however, this weeks I can’t say the same thing. I found myself very bored watching it and had to skip to the end, which also, was boring. There’s better ways to cheat a win than a reversed crossbody. Something else that was up with the match is that Jillian was nowhere to be seen! The past (four?) weeks Jillian has been featured in the show and each time she’s put on a solid, decent match with her opponents. Here’s hoping Jillian’s on next week! Anyways, you can watch Katie Lea and Alicia Fox defeat Kelly Kelly and Eve Torres below!
When I read the spoilers for Superstars, I thought ‘oh another random Divas tag match with no meaning, WONDERFUL!’ but honestly, when I sat down to watch this match, it seriously has to be the best Divas tag match I have seen in a long, long time! The crowd were a bunch of crazy morons; they were SO into the match! Brie and Nikki certainly have improved and the skills they showed in this match was to be honest; amazing. It also gives a chance for jobbers Divas Katie Lea and Jillian a place to showcase their immense talent.
I’m not going to talk you through the whole match, as that would probably bore you to death, but after watching it, if there were Diva tag titles, I’d say both teams would be in the running for it! You may think I’m a looney, but that match was title worthy. That’s just my personal opinion. Take a look yourself and see what you think!
