Tonight will see TNA’s sixth No Surrender pay-per-view. No Surrender hasn’t seen a lot of Knockouts action over the years. So, as usual, I’m going to make up wacky and wonderful matches that could have been featured on this PPV and you guys get to vote for your favourite! It’s time for No Surrender to go ROYAL!

Madison Rayne recently expressed her disgust for Velvet and Angelina using ‘her’ theme song and for calling themselves ‘The Beautiful People’. For a while now, Madison and Velvet have had issues with one another. The winner? Velvet Sky. If the original Beautiful People want any kind of redemption, then humiliating Madison Rayne in an extreme makeover match would be the best way. (BTW, I thought of this match BEFORE TNA made Madison v Velvet official, so don’t yell at me!)

The match I really thought we were gonna see at this Sunday’s PPV – a tag team grudge match between the original Beautiful People, Madison Rayne and the mystery bodyguard, Tara! The winners? Madison Rayne and Tara. They may have won on iMPACT!, but these girls need to prove their dominance in TNA!

For over a month, I was able to come in contact with some marvelous people including documentary film director, STEPHEN GILLIS.  Stephen recently has a film called This Wrestling Life.  As a fan of the independent scene, I became interested in this film because of tweets from  female wrestler, Nicole Matthews. It made me think of the training and progress of my best friend and fellow staff member, Marc.  I was able to watch the film  before it was shown on Canadian television. This Wrestling Life is a documentary film that portrays the independent scene of professional wrestling.  The film depicts the year of struggles in the lives of four individuals. Travis and Natalie are two new wrestlers to the wrestling business. Bill is training to become a referee. These three individuals have had rough lives and are trying to live out their dreams as part of the wrestling business. These three students have come through adversary in their lives to accomplish their dreams. Travis has come from a broken home. Natalie has come from male dominant household that shunned her dreams. Bill is an openly homosexual forty plus year old man. These students are led by the head trainer of ECCW (Extreme Canadian Championship Wrestling), Scotty Mac. In the course of the film, he has been mentoring his protégés and also trying to fulfill his dream of becoming a wrestler in World Wrestling Entertainment.

The documentary film focused on the triumphs and the let downs within the process of making it in the wrestling industry. The students Travis, Natalie, and Bill learned about the technical aspects and the social aspects of wrestling. Most notably, Bill received hazing and ribbing because of his “newbie” status coupled with his sexuality.  Throughout the experience, Bill stated that he would not let it get to him so he could prove himself to everyone.

Natalie proved to be a tough cookie from the start. She would come late to practice and talk out of line. The no nonsense holds no prisoners’ attitude of Natalie proved to be an issue throughout the film.   It led her into trouble many times with Scotty Mac. Scotty Mac mentioned that he felt that he was easy on her because she reminded him of himself.  He questioned whether Natalie really wanted to become a wrestler and even be there.

Travis, however, did not allow for the let downs in his life to affect his triumphs. He worked consistently throughout the movie to hone his craft and make something out of himself. He wanted to prove to his parents and everyone else that he could make it as a wrestler.  It allowed for him to motivate himself to achieve.

This Wrestling Life chronicled the graduation of many of its students including Bill and Travis. In the graduating class, Natalie was not included. She did not graduate. However, that motivated her to continue and to prove to everyone that she wanted to be there.

The documentary film showed how rough the training process is for wrestlers. The training process is not for everyone and it quickly weeds out those people.  This Wrestling Life allowed the viewers into the hearts and minds of four individuals. It encompassed the whole spectrum of wrestling—trainer/booker, male trainee wrestler, female trainee wrestler, and male trainee referee. The main drawback is the time constraints.  Not every moment can be depicted. Also, the film focused on the Travis’ story, which was epitome of success. The documentary allowed for the inside view into the lives of the participants and wrestling.  The beginning of the journey to superstardom is rarely chronicled and the people who helped along the way are not given proper praise. Scotty Mac brought out the talent that was inside of Billy, Travis, and Natalie. He shared with them all the fun, heart breaking, frustrating, happy moments along with the blood, sweat, and tears that makes up a life in the wrestling business.

Where are they now?

• Natalie, or KC Spinelli, is currently a female wrestler in ECCW and for other companies. She has been in matches against Malia Hosaka, Sunni Daze, Nicole Matthews, among others.  KC Spinelli is part of the team, Tits & Abs with Alex Plexis in ECCW.
• Travis, or  “The Popstar” Travis Sparx,  is currently in the group called Pop Culture.  His team mates are Ice, Bishop, & Veronika Vice. He currently competes for ECCW and other companies.
• Bill Taylor is a referee in ECCW and he’s not afraid to show people who’s the boss!
• Scotty Mac is still going strong as the go to guy in ECCW. He is a trainer, booker, and occasional wrestler.  He’s happy with his role, but still hopes to be WWE.
• They all have their dreams in wrestling and are still trying to make it a reality!

With rumours flying about that the third seasons of WWE’s NXT show will feature four Diva rookies, myself and Marcella have decided to do my our pairings of rookie Divas and WWE Pro’s!

For the first pairing, the NXT rookie would be FCW funny woman, Aksana and her pro, the monstrous World Heavyweight champion, Kane! Why? In FCW, Aksana is known for her funny skits, segments, laughing everywhere and being a bit of a silly bimbo. On Smackdown, Kane is known for being the most dominant male on the roster at the moment. Each season of NXT there’s been that odd pairing. Kane never really has a reason to be angry, but now he’s found one. Mentoring Aksana would be the most difficult thing he has had to overcome in his career because bless, all Aksana wants to do is laugh and prance around. Chance of winning NXT: None!

Season two of NXT saw the first ever female pro’s – plural – there was more than one! So, season three could see the same in Tiffany and Kelly Kelly – Team Barbie. Them being the pro’s and their rookie, the feisty Spaniard, Liviana! Why? After breaking away from their feud with Laycool, Team Barbie would concentrate on being pro’s for their rookie, but their rookie thinks more like Laycool than Team Barbie! Liviana is a feisty Spanish Diva who speaks her mind and doesn’t listen to “bimbos” – which is what she considers her mentors to be! Chance of winning NXT: Meh, maybe this team would get into the third week?

The first two seasons of  NXT saw  The Miz as a pro. This third season would be no different! However, The Miz will mentor the new comer Ricki Vaughn. Not much is known about Ricki( aka Celeste), but the Miz will bring that out of her with his big mouth. Why? The Miz is the “MVP” of the NXT seasons. He’s always a pro and he thinks he’s the biggest star of them all. Ricki may feel tired of being the new girl on the block and decide that the Miz’s way is the way to go. She’ll want everyone to know who she is and that she belongs there. Chance of winning NXT: It all depends on the attitude Ricki adopts and well, if she listens to the Miz or not.  Let’s just say they may make it to the fourth week.

Maryse’s debut on the NXT would be an interesting one as she receives as a rookie– Alicia Fox’s little sister, Christina! Maryse doesn’t like to share the spotlight and seems to have a problem with Alicia Fox recently. Why? Maryse doesn’t like other divas, however, she doesn’t like losing. Chances are that Maryse would relish in the fact that she is a pro as that will inflate her ego more.  She’ll throw it in the face of Alicia.  Christina may not want to live in the shadow of her older sister, so she may align herself with Maryse.  Chance of winning NXT: This team has a potential to go very far in the competition if only Christina Fox wants to prove that she’s the apex Fox.

Naomi Night has been making progress in FCW. She’s even impressed the management enough to become the first ever FCW Divas Champion. Beth Phoenix is no stranger in making history. Beth would love to help Naomi become a bigger and better diva than Naomi already is . Why? Beth Phoenix is the quintessential diva of this time period. She’s not only beautiful, but strong and talented. Beth has proven her toughness and her skill. She would impart that knowledge to Naomi. But, Naomi remember, Beth won’t teach you everything she knows. Naomi and Beth are both fan favorites so they would get along pretty well. And plus, they would understand that this is a chance for the both of them to shine.   Chance of winning NXT: Great chance in winning NXT!  Under the teaching of the Glamazon, Naomi would be destined to shine (if only the Glamazon doesn’t want to be a bad bitch!)

AJ Lee has had an attitude change because of the induction of the FCW Divas title. The Queen of FCW has had a nasty attitude. The once spunky fan favorite has turned into a devious vindictive vixen.  Her pro, Evan Bourne, is a fan favorite and wouldn’t dream of catching an attitude with people.  AJ and Evan would really differ on that. However, they are the underdogs of their respected division! Why? Evan and AJ have a similar fast faced style of wrestling with high risk maneuvers. They would have had a better  foundation if AJ didn’t turn heel. However,  AJ is poised on becoming the top diva so she would do anything to prove that.  Chance of winning NXT: Very very good chance to make it to the end. AJ would do anything to stay in the competition no matter what her Pro thinks.

Tonight marks WWE’s annual summer pay-per-view event, the twenty third SummerSlam show! In the past, we’ve seen ‘Diva dodgeball’, a mixed tag team championship match, a battle royal, even a stinkface match! However, there’s only on Divas match this year at SummerSlam! So, as usual, I’m going to make up wacky and wonderful matches that could have been featured on this PPV and you guys get to vote for your favourite! It’s time for SummerSlam to go ROYAL!

Last week on RAW, the Divas champion claimed she had beaten everyone on RAW in various different matches; but can she really back that up? Alicia Fox will go toe to toe with all of the RAW Divas – Jillian, Gail Kim, Tamina, Natalya, Maryse, Eve, The Bella Twins and Melina – in a gauntlet match. Once Alicia eliminates one Diva, another will come out and so on and so forth. The winners? The RAW Divas. Alicia Fox would eliminate every RAW Diva and believe she has won the match, until that music plays again…Paparazzi! Melina as the final entrant, would come out and defeat Alicia, repeating what she did on her return.

RRRRRRRRRosa Mendes has been training for a few months now and changing up her image so that she can join Team Laycool, so SummerSlam is here, the co champions are ready to induct Rosa into their group… or are they? Laycool would pretend Rosa is in the group, before yelling “REAL TALK” and humiliating Rosa, telling her she was never gonna be apart of Laycool. As Laycool leave, Rosa would turn PSYCHO and maul the pair of champion Divas before taking their broken Women’s title and storming off with it.

Tonight marks the first ever HardCORE Justice (but the sixth in the Hard Justice history) which is a ‘hardcore homecoming’ for the alumni of ECW. An apparant Knockouts title match was bumped off the PPV beacuse of this. So, as usual, I’m going to make up wacky and wonderful matches that could have been featured on this PPV and you guys get to vote for your favourite! It’s time for HardCORE Justice to go ROYAL!

Angelina Love is number one contender for the Knockouts title (again) and was set to take on Madison Rayne at this PPV, that is until it became HardCORE Justice. However, the match stipulation was never announced. Madison Rayne and Angelina Love would square off in an extreme rules match at this hardcore style PPV. There’s no denying that the old school Knockouts were just as ruthless as the men and Angelina was apart of that era, so she has that in her advantage. Madison has something else in her favour though, due to the no disqualification stipulation of the match, Madison’s new BFF, the biker lady, could easily provide a distraction or even assault Angelina. The winner? Madison Rayne. Even though her Beautiful People may not be running out to save her butt, she has her biker lady and as many weapons to use as she wishes.

Jazz and Miss Congenitality (who you’ll know best as Lita) had a heated rivalry in EC-freakin-W. Jazz played the fan favourite, so no doubt she’d reprise that role and Lita would take on her bad girl role again. Lita gained the name ‘Queen of Xtreme’ during her time in WWE for being the first Diva to mix it up in extreme styled matches. Lita’s no stranger to breaking the rules and using weapons to her advantage, so despite Jazz being the powerhouse that she is, she had best watch her back in this no holds barred blow off match! The winner? Miss Congenitality. Lita didn’t exactly have the storybook ending in her WWE career, so I think even though she’d play a heel, TNA would let her have one last chance to shine. Plus, how can Jazz measure up to the Queen of Xtreme?!

It’s the fifth and final day of Marcella’s five day installment of The Five Days of Hardcore. You’re probably wondering why I’m posting it? Well Marcella is dealing with a death in the family, therefore I have taken over the final day. She will probably be mad at the videos I’ve chosen, but hey ho, let’s get down to it!

On this fifth day, I bring you flashbacks of a more recent time in ECW’s history – WWE ECW! The likes of Lena Yada, Trinity, Ariel (Shelly Martinez), Kelly Kelly, WWE Women’s champion Layla, Nikki & Brie Bella, Brooke Adams (now Miss Tessmacher in TNA), Rosa Mendes, Tiffany, Natalya and of course, Francine, all made a name for themselves on this brand. We start off our final day with a video of ECW original Francine and the brooding vampiress, Ariel and K2′s debut!

It’s day four of the five day installment of The Five Days of Hardcore. We saw a tribute to the ladies of Extreme, a catfight between Beulah and Francine, and mixed tag match with Jazz and Lita ( Miss Congeniality). Now, we will see a feud that helped put Dawn Marie on the map. Her work with Tammy Lynn Sytch ( known as Sunny) got her a contract with ECW. Dawn Marie Bytch was known for mocking her rival Tammy as being known as Tammy Lynn Bytch. I have found FOUR videos that display this rivalry the best. And you know what, Miss Congeniality helped out Dawn Marie in one of them! Also, Lance Storm and the late Chris Candido (RIP) were prominent participants in these videos.

It’s time for the third installment of The Five Days of Hardcore. Today, we will see a young Lita and Jazz mix it up. Lita ( who is Miss Congeniality) is with her team of Danny Doring & Amish Roadkill. They will face Jazz with Chris Chetti and Nova. In this two part video, we see the bad blood between all six individuals. We also see the men and women mixing it up! And of course, what would a female be without the  screeching voice of Joey Styles saying “CATFIGHT!!!!”

Yesterday, we saw the creation of “The Five Days of Hardcore”. Each day till August 8th ( the day of HardCORE Justice), we will see extreme moments of the ladies of the original ECW.  Yesterday, we saw a tribute to some of the ladies of ECW.

Today, we will see the hottest feud within E-C-Freakin’ W. From the start of the career of Francine in ECW, Beulah did not like her. And well, the feeling was mutual. They were one of the reasons for Joey Styles‘ infamous screeching of “CATFIGHTTTTT!!!!”

They weren’t trained wrestlers, yet they went out and did what they had to do. People have dislike for both Francine and Beulah, but hey,they took whatever was dished out to them. So check out their battle! It’s a two part video!
