Former WWE Diva Serena Deeb spoke to Newsday about her time with WWE and recovering from her serious concussion.
The former Straight Edge Society member said it was a “wrong place, wrong time” situation when it came to being able to wrestle.
“I don’t really know what was going on in their minds, in my bosses’ minds, during my time in WWE. I think that the plans were there to eventually have me break out and be in the ring. But the role that I played on television, that wasn’t part of it… So it was just wrong place, wrong time as far as a wrestling role goes. It was definitely a lesson in patience and I had to know and trust that it was just not the right time, and that it was for a reason. Of course, I was very anxious to wrestle. I always wanted to. And the few opportunities I was given on the road to wrestle, I was ecstatic.”
About her concussion, Serena is most definitely “worried about it right now”:
“I would be lying if I said I wasn’t worried about it right now, especially because everything just happened. I’m 25-years-old and what I always imagined was that my career would go for as long as I wanted it to, and that I’d have that in my control. Now I’m suddenly being put in the position where it’s not in my control, and where my body is maybe not going to last as long as I wanted it to and as long as I idealized it lasting. So there’s definitely a large element of worry right now.”

Former Divas champion Maryse who went through surgery on an abdominal hernia, posted the following on her official website:
I met with my surgeon today and she said everything is perfect. There’s a little bit of fluid inside by the incision and where the repairs were done, but its totally normal apparently. The scar healed really good and there is no infection. So the surgery was a total success. I’m sooooooo happy!!!
As are we! We’re glad Maryse is well and hope to see her flipping her hair again on RAW soon. Speaking of RAW, former NXT Rookie Diva Naomi has been on the road with the red brand also. She has toured with both brands previously and there’s no mention of bringing her up to the main roster anytime soon.

Posting on her Facebook page last night, former Divas champion Maryse gave everyone an update of her abdominal hernia surgery. She put:
After I am home now, and feeling good, still very tired from the anesthesia, but its normal, i will be posting pics of my tummy when they remove the bandages, my doctor did an amazing job and the scar should be very small in my belly button! be sexy
According to sources, Maryse should be back in the ring within a week or two. We hope she has a speedy recovery and doesn’t rush getting back in the ring; we wouldn’t want any more injuries from her!

Despite being apparently injured a couple of weeks ago on SmackDown!, the feisty Alicia Fox is back on the road and back in action. Alicia Fox teamed up with Rosa Mendes to take on Natalya and another surprising face, former NXT rookieA.J.
The House Show report is below.
(2) Natalya & A.J. beat Alicia Fox & Rosa Mendes in a Divas tag match. Fox ripped up an “Alicia looks like Rupal” sign during intros, which was pretty funny. This was just a bit more than a throwaway TV match. The two nine-year-old girls in the group with me seemed to enjoy the match a lot. Natalya put Rosa in a figure-four for the win.
