Funkasaurus – What the Funk?!
Written By: Trisha on January 14th, 2012 • Comments (0)

Monday Night Raw got funkified as super-athletic former NXT Rookie Naomi made her debut alongside the “divalicious” Cameron Lynn – aka Tough Enough’s Ariane Andrews, as dancers for another NXT Rookie, Brodus Clay. Yes, really.

While many fans of Superstars pondered over when Brodus would make his debut, I’m sure Diva fans didn’t care as much. I mean, let’s face it, we had a bigger question on our lips: When the heck would WWE debut Naomi? She was by far the most athletic “rookie” during NXT Season 3, yet we saw fellow rookies Maxine, Aksana and AJ debut on the main roster before her, despite her coming in second place overall. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a big fan of the three Divas selected, but I would have enjoyed seeing Naomi get the chance to break out into the WWE properly before them.

Strike a Spooky Pose: The Best & Worst Dressed!
Written By: Trisha on November 1st, 2011 • Comments (2)

Just when I thought we weren’t going to get a new set of Divas Hallowe’en photos, look what popped up after Raw! The WWE Divas took part in a costumed battle royale last night, while the TNA Knockouts have just been prancing about with Lee South in their costumes backstage.

Without further ado, it’s time to present the best & worst dressed of the WWE Divas and TNA Knockouts! I’ve chosen the top five of the very best and the bottom five of the very worst. If you disagree, sound off in the comments or (since OSD visitors are rather silent) vote for your favourite in the poll below!

Top 5 Best Dressed:
Ratings are based on how unique costumes are, as well as if a Diva/KO pulls off the look.

Karen makes a fierce Batgirl, like damn!
AJ looks cute, with bonus points for creativity and general awesomeness.
The Bella Twins’ idea was pretty cool.
Velvet Sky makes a rather glamorous Freddy Krueger.
Is it awkward to say that Kaitlyn makes a pretty hot Dog the Bounty Hunter? Yeah? Okay…

5 Worst Dressed:
Ratings are based on how boring costumes are, or simply if they’re over-done.

Sarita’s costume, in the words of Brenda from Scary Movie: “Damn, this is some scuury shit!”
I feel SoCal Val would have looked much better in a dress instead of that lingerie.
Kelly Kelly over-did it as a pirate. I thought she was a buxom wench, to be honest.
Tamina’s outfit wasn’t very flattering, nor was Natalya’s.

Poll Position: Lighting up for AJ’s new theme?
Written By: Trisha on October 28th, 2011 • Comments (0)

It seems as though everyone seems to be undergoing some sort of transformation, be it a new attire or theme music. Unless you’re Alicia Fox – I mean, really? Maria Kanellis’ old theme? That’s nothing to party about. Oh, or you could be Eve Torres having yet another remixed version of your theme. This Poll Position post is about a more fresh change… AJ Lee’s new theme song: Light it Up.

AJ Lee debuted this theme on NXT. While it’s still a rather upbeat (and so bloody catchy!) theme song, I feel as though AJ’s previous theme – Right Now – suited her a lot better. It was cartoony, fun and gave off the sweet girl vibes AJ has. Light it Up will take some time to get used to, I reckon.

Give it a listen below and tell us what you think in the poll below!

Poll Position: Who Will Win at Bound For Glory?
Written By: Former Staff Member on October 11th, 2011 • Comments (2)

As you all should know, Bound For Glory will take place this Sunday (October 16th) and there is a big Knockouts fatal four way match for the Knockouts Championship, which is currently held by Winter. But since it is a fatal four way match, this means there are three other competitors in the match, so this obviously calls for a Poll Position post! So, what d’ya think? Velvet Sky, Winter, Mickie James or Madison Rayne? VOTE BELOW!

Poll Position: Kelly Kelly Had Cracked
Written By: Marc on October 4th, 2011 • Comments (0)

(Above is a video of the Divas action from last night on RAW and Kelly Kelly cracking!)

After months of battling it out with The Glamazon, Sunday night saw Kelly Kelly lose the Divas title. Last night on RAW we saw a very different side to Kelly Kelly. Not taking any Glamacrap anymore, Kelly Kelly cracked and went savage on (I can’t believe I’m saying this but) a defenseless Beth Phoenix while Eve took out Beth’s Diva of Doom buddy, Natalya! WWE.com are saying Kelly needs exorcising, but I think it’s great. Kelly should go psycho and show this side of her more often. What do you guys think?

Fierce Footballers – Football, TNA Knockout Style!
Written By: Trisha on September 26th, 2011 • Comments (5)

What better way to celebrate football season than having some quirky, pin-up style football themed photoshoots from the TNA Knockouts! Five of the fiercest footballersTara, Brooke Tessmacher, Mickie James, SoCal Val and Traci Brooks – have teamed up with Lee South and don’t they look fabulous? Much like any other cheesy photoshoot-themed posts OSD has had in the past, there will be ratings… A Ballin’ (No, that’s basketball…) Touchdown ranking out of five footballs.

After you’ve checked out all of the shoots and the comments, we’d like to hear what you have to say by voting below!

I’d like to thank Kris and Sean for helping me out with the information regarding American Football, I’m not exactly UK-footy-savvy, let alone having any knowledge on US football! Apologies if any information isn’t entirely accurate. I tried!

Tara – Chicago Bears

Tara adds a funky twist to the Bears’ uniform, opting for an orange bikini top with her jersey and super-cute girlie boxers. In typical Tara fashion, she does something a little bit extra by donning ’54′ on her stomach, which makes her shoot more football-ish. While casually working navy, orange and white like a pro, Tara efforlessly maintains a seductive vibe throughout the photoshoot. Her shoot was definitely one of my favourites.

Strike a Pose: Whose Beauty Prevails?
Written By: Trisha on September 14th, 2011 • Comments (0)

Things got a little heated on WWE.com between The Bella Twins, Brie & Nikki, and the Glamazon Beth Phoenix, during a backstage segment that you can WATCH ONLINE. Brie and Nikki claimed that they didn’t need brawn, as they have brains and beauty… Funnily enough, all three ladies also have a Diva Focus, where beauty tends to shine brightest!

The first Diva Focus of the week was Beth Phoenix – Tennis The Menace (Loving the name!) where Beth sports a cute little tennis outfit, complete with a tennis racket and funky, sporty poses. Beth also adds a girly touch with flowers in her hair and peep-toe heels while lightly accessorising with a silver necklace and a bangle. I’m not too sure how I feel about her look, but Beth manages to pull off a rather fun photoshoot.

In the, uh, black corner, we have The Bella Twins – Devious Duo, where the ladies are rocking their bitchy black attires – a favourite of mine – but have equally dull poses to match. They’re standing side-by-side, leaning on each other or just glaring into the camera, yaaaawn. They fade into black, quite literally thanks to the backdrop, with a really bland shoot.

There you have it! Both shoots in a quick review by yours truly, with blatant indications as to which one I prefer, but the question is which one do you prefer? Vote below!
