Welcome to the Throwback Thursday! Every Thursday we will pick five photoshoots at random to be featured as a special flashback (due to the most recent lack of photoshoots that have been released). * The Miz and another MizTV segment opens this week’s WWE SmackDown. His guests are Fandango and Summer Rae. Miz announces he will do MizTV and then win the Intercontinental Title tonight. Wade Barrett interrupts and starts running down Fandango and threatens him. Miz and Barrett start brawling and we have tonight’s first match.

Love bites, over and over again with AJ Lee’s new t-shirt

WWE have unveiled a new piece of Divas merchandise recently, a t-shirt for their resident crazy chick AJ Lee.

The black tee includes the phrase “love bites” and has a pink spider sitting on the letters and grey webs. It’s available from WWEShop.com for $24.99. You can purchase it by clicking here.

Thoughts: I have a feeling that the design idea might just ruffle a few Diva fans’ feathers… Doesn’t the spider and web design remind you of a certain Black Widow?

I also feel like the t-shirt’s design doesn’t really scream “AJ Lee!” – despite her lack of luck in the love department, it could be for any WWE Diva. If it had skulls, plaid and a more AJ-esque touch to it from what we’ve grown to know her for, it would have a much more personal touch to it for fans.

Anya released from NXT contract

NXT Diva Anya, who hails from Russia, has been released from her contract.

It wasn’t too long ago that she, alongside British Anti-Diva Paige, was hailed as NXT’s top prospects on WWE.com, so it’s a shame to see her be let go.

Sorry for the late post.

Recently NXT has been heating up with the current Summer/Paige feud and this week proves that the feud is still going strong as Paige makes her presence known in Summer’s match; however, Summer has a new enrollee in her Summer School session and that is Natalya.

Stephen’s Thoughts:

I honestly believe NXT is the premier place for WWE’s Diva Division. The matches here are so lengthy and the feuds are way better than anything we have seen on RAW and SmackDown. I love Paige & Summer’s feud and I feel NXT is building up to having these two be the last women in the NXT Divas Title Tournament with either one winning and then ending their feud.

Onto the match. I LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT IT. I feel the hold for hold wrestling between Nattie & Summer was brilliant especially since we don’t get matches like these with the 2 minutes the Divas normally get to put on a match. I feel Natalya is WWE’s best female wrestler right now and I think she can do no wrong in the ring and I could see her being a trainer somewhere down the line. I feel she’s a great person the newer Divas can learn from similar to how Victoria was for Trish & The Bellas. I love Summer Rae in every way. I think her overall look and attitude mirrors Stacy Keibler & Michelle McCool. Her aggression in the ring is marvelous and I hope she ditches Fandango soon and begins in ring competition on the Main Roster. I was a little confused with Paige’s appearance because she cost Nattie the match, but let’s see how things play out from that.

In the next coming weeks we are having the NXT Divas Title Tournament and I know Sasha Banks, Emma, Bayley, Paige & Summer Rae are competing, but I hope WWE debuts Charlotte in time for this and I say toss Alicia Fox into the fray for the title.

SmackDown ReBound May 17th 2013 : The Battle of The Weight Lifting Divas

Over the past couple of weeks Kaitlyn has been involved in this new storyline where she has a “secret admirer” that sends her gifts that only she finds interesting and in doing so this has propelled her on screen role more as she has had a sleuth of matches and victories over the WWE Divas.

This week proves no different as she battles another Weightlifting Diva in Aksana.

I honestly enjoyed the match. I feel that Aksana is getting better with more ring time on the main roster and she proved this tonight. Her dominating Kaitlyn was really good and I especially loved that backbreaker mainly because Kaitlyn and Tamina are supposed to be the strongest Divas right now, but with Aksana being less muscular, but able to lift Kaitlyn only for a few seconds, I found it genius. I like Kaitlyn’s spear also. I think a Diva utilizing the spear makes it more versatile.

Who else feels Natalya is the secret admirer and this whole thing is building towards a feud between them two? Or Maybe the debut of Anya, Charlotte or Paige?

Impact Wrestling Results May 16th, 2013 : The Battle of the Ladies in Pink

This week on Impact, it was Velvet Sky going against Gail Kim as this was a non title match this week on Impact. Would Velvet get another win on her long time rival or will Gail Kim get a win over the champion and secure a victory with this mean streak to get a title shot? Let’s watch below.

OhSoDivaLicious Thoughts

Before I go on, did anyone notice that Velvet was wearing blue and then in the match, in pink? Looks like their was an error right there, but regardless, the both of them were in pink. The match was pretty decent this week with Gail proving that she is the dominant one in the match while Velvet proved that she was not going to go down with out a fight despite this knee injury. I liked the match despite the roll up at the end which seems to be the common case here now in TNA. I know Velvet hit In Yo Face Last week on Tara, but I was expecting this to be honest with Gail dominating over the knee. However after the match and surprisingly Taz did say it, Gail Kim might have went a little bit too fair in her actions with Velvet’s knee injury, but then again, she’s proving a point and going to injury someone in her way. Match was decent, but I still like their Knockouts title match at Lockdown.

It should be also said that once again, Mickie James is getting another championship shot against Velvet Sky. IF Mickie was not to win this match, should end up heel? I have a feeling she will, but don’t get me wrong, I feel like Mickie really does not need title shots after title shots when she loses. Sure you may not agree with me, but I feel like she doesn’t need it all the time. I could say the same thing about my favorites as well.

Audrey Marie released

Developmental NXT Diva Audrey Marie has been released of her WWE contract as of today. WWE are on a releasing spree of developmental talent and Audrey has unfortunately made the Divas cut.

Audrey, real name Ashley Miller, was signed to WWE and debuted mid-2011 on the then FCW television show. She went on to win the FCW Divas championship and compete in the first ever Divas no disqualification match with Paige. Most recently, she been involved in a storyline on NXT with Sasha Banks.

We will keep you updated of any more Diva releases.

Last Friday two competition winners and powerful, tough Divas faced off – those being the winner of Tough Enough, Nidia and winner of the Diva season of NXT, Kaitlyn. Both of these ladies made a career out of being dominant, ruthless women but they never crossed paths in the ring however, just one time backstage and things did not end well. Watch here. Stephanie McMahon’s mother delivered her own Million Dollar Slap to Melina after shenanigans involving her husband. While Stephanie wasn’t predominantly a wrestler, she still mixed it up in the ring and earned herself one WWE Women’s championship reign. If both of these Divalicious hellcats mixed it up in the ring, which one would end up with the final ~~laugh~~ scream?
