As we all know, Impact Wrestling is going live from May the 31st. Not only that, but singer turned Knockouts Executive, Brooke Hogan, will be joining the promotion and make her on-screen debut then. Impact Knockout Angelina Love recently tweeted about Impact going live and the addition of Miss Hogan. Here’s what she said:
@IMPACTWRESTLING goes LIVE May 31st at 8pm all summer long! And Brooke Hogan is in charge of the Knockouts….maybe she’ll be my new BFF?! #blondeshavemorefun
What do you think? Will Angelina and Brooke become the fun blonde BFF’s like Angelina wants, or will they be sworn enemies?! Let us know and vote below.
After nearly a two year hiatus, The Top 12 (formally known as the Divalicious Dozen) has returned to OhSoDivalicious. If you aren’t familiar with ‘The Top 12′ then here’s the drift; it’s just like WWE.com’s ‘Power 25′ feature but ours is much smaller (and better). Ours counts down the top twelve women of wrestling each week. Let’s get on with it with our number twelve, shall we?

#12 – VELVET SKY
Last week: #11
Talking the talk backstage with Tessmacher, Velvet Sky failed to walk the walk as she came up short in a triple threat match for the TNA Knockouts championship.
WWE Divas Kaitlyn, Alicia Fox and Lilian Garcia open up on WWE Inbox on their favourite high school memories and the best dancers the WWE have ever seen. Dirty Curty’s answer may surprise you… or not, he’s weird.
This past Friday, WWE Smackdown Diva Rosa Mendes was involved in a multi-car wreck in Las Vegas. Mendes was a passenger in her friend’s Hummer, stopped at a light when they were hit from behind by another car that was also hit, moving at high speeds. Rosa was rushed to hospital but released a few hours later. She told WWE.com this:
“My neck and back were really hurting, my body is my job. I was so scared that I was not going to be able to wrestle. I was in a lot of pain. Nothing’s broken, I feel like I can wrestle but the whole right side of my neck and back have a burning sensation.”
WWE were on hand to take some photos, so for photos of the crash, click here for WWE.com’s exclusive snaps.
Later on Saturday night, Rosa Mendes tweeted the following, thanking fans for their support during this tough time:
@LaRosaMendes: Just want to thank everyone for their texts, messages, and phone calls. Its nice knowing I have people that care me.
We wish Rosa the best and most speediest recovery. Hopefully she’ll be cranking up the crazy in the tag team and Divas division very soon!
Looks like we have a legitimate reason for posting Brooke Hogan news now, as she’s joined the TNA creative team for the Knockouts.
Starting on Thursday, 31st May Brooke officially joins the Impact Wrestling team as the Executive in Charge of the female wrestling division. The following is from the TNA website:
In addition to overseeing the traditional duties of the Knockouts Division, Brooke will bring a new energy and direction to the role working with the girls in a variety of capacities.
“I have really gotten to know Brooke by working with her on her music career this past year and a half,” said Dixie Carter, President of TNA Wrestling. “When we did talk wrestling, I not only loved her passion and knowledge of it, but the fresh, creative ideas she would come up with. She is very savvy. I asked if she would consider teaming up with me in this capacity while she also worked on her music, and I was thrilled when she said ‘yes.’ A big personality runs in her genes, obviously, and I know she is going to take an already exciting division of Impact Wrestling to another level.”
It’ll be rather interesting to see what Brookie can bring to the division – who knows? Maybe she’ll be what the division needs to get things mixed up again. Brooke herself is very excited too:
So very blessed to be a part of impact wrestling. Fun times ahead!!
While it’s been announced that WWE will continually broadcast Monday Night Raw for three hours, the time slot they usually have for special occasions (think anniversary shows, etc.), instead of the usual two, TNA president Dixie Carter made an announcement of her own.
TNA will be going live over summer, starting from the 31st May.
“We are excited to take IMPACT WRESTLING Live! all summer long, and have our first Live! summer show launch our new 8:00pm/ET time slot,” says TNA President Dixie Carter. “Summer of 2012 is going to be remembered as the most momentous time in our company’s history-to-date. Stay tuned.”
I (Trisha) personally haven’t watched an episode of Monday Night Raw due to a lack of appeal in the first hour of the show. Well, that and the lack of Diva air time, but that’s always been an issue, hasn’t it? I think that WWE need to focus more on what they’re broadcasting in the current amount of time they have on air and utilise that time more. People may zone out after two hours if it’s the same repetitive stuff. TNA, on the other hand, have probably found their way around sites (including us!) that post those pesky spoilers from upcoming shows.
In breaking and somewhat Diva related news, from July 23rd (RAW’s 1000th episode) Monday Night RAW will be permanently given a three hour time slot. If done rightly, this can mean big things for the WWE Divas of RAW, with three hours there is no excuse for super short matches and the lack of emphasis, storylines and character development gone into the division. WWE.com posted the following:
NEW YORK – At a USA Network season premiere event in New York City, John Cena revealed on Twitter that Monday Night Raw will expand to a three-hour show, starting with the 1,000th episode on July 23 at 8/7 CT on USA Network.
