#GrandestOfThemAll

In celebration of Trish Stratus’ Hall of Fame induction last Saturday, Team OSD have been tweeting our Daily Divas under the hashtag of #GrandestOfThemAll, showcasing who we believe to be just some of the greatest Divas of all time. Take a look below at our choices and follow us on Twitter @OSDivalicious_ for all your Daily Diva and Video of the Day exclusives.

Trish Stratus: “Lita to induct me into HOF? I wouldn’t disagree.”

2013 Hall of Fame inductee Trish Stratus recently did an interview with MOS Radio to discuss her induction.

She also mentioned that she would be happy with former WWE Diva and long-time rival during their time with the company, Lita being the person to induct her at the ceremony.

“Funnily enough, before I done this interview, I put a poll on my website, asking who would my fans like to see induct me into the Hall of Fame. Lita won with a landslide, I would say, I can’t disagree with that sentiment.”

“It’s a real honor to be included in this class, the names are just unbelievable, and to be included with them are such an honor. There are only a few women that have ever been inducted into the Hall of Fame and to be included on that list is just so humbling.”

The entire interview, where Trish talks about the other Hall of Fame inductees, is over at MinistryOfSlam.com.

Fantasy Fridays: Lita vs. Maryse

Fantasy Fridays is something new at OhSoDivalicious. We pit the ladies of wrestling against each other in a ‘fantasy’ bout, comparing stats and accomplishments and let you vote on who you think would win in a match between the two ladies.

LITA

Height: 5 ft 6
Weight: 135 lbs
From: Fort Lauderdale, Florida
Signature Moves: Snap DDT, Twist of Fate, Litasault
Wrestling accomplishments: Four time WWE Women’s champion, was in the Main Event of RAW twice

MARYSE

Height: 5 ft 8
Weight: 115 lbs
From: Montreal, Quebec, Canada
Signature Moves: French Kiss, French TKO
Wrestling accomplishments: 2006 Diva Search contestant, two time WWE Divas champion, longest reigning Divas champion in history

Both Lita and Maryse put their stamp on the WWE during each of their times in the company. Lita was known for her high flying, daring moveset and was one of most loved Divas of all time. Maryse on the other hand didn’t care about being the most loved Diva, she was pompous, rude and a grade A bitch. It worked for Maryse though as she went on to win not one, but two Divas titles and become the longest reigning Divas champion in history – just one of her Divas title reigns beats all of Lita’s combined Women’s title reigns! Both ladies have won many matches and championships using their signature DDT move, but paired off against one another, who would emerge the victor?

WWE Lists The 50 Most Beautiful People In Sports Entertainment

In similar fashion to People Magazine’s ‘Beautiful People’ list, WWE.com has compiled their own list of people who they feel are the 50 most beautiful people in Sports Entertainment. Twenty Divas, both past and present, were ranked on the list…. and also claimed the #1 spot! While most people would have their money on the likes of Trish Stratus or Lita in that position, it was none other than the late Miss Elizabeth who snagged the spot, as well as our hearts. You can view the entire list here. In the meantime, here are the rankings for the Divas!

#50: Kaitlyn
#48: Melina
#45: Molly Holly
#43: the Kat
#41: Mickie James
#39: the Bella Twins
#36: Kimberly Page
#32: Maria
#30: Kelly Kelly
#26: Lita
#22: Candice Michelle
#20: Layla
#16: Maryse
#14: Sable
#10: Torrie Wilson
#8: Sunny
#6: Stacy Keibler
#4: Eve Torres

Lita’s Favourite Attitude Era Moment
& Thoughts on Current Divas

The team at WWE.com recently interviewed former Women’s champion Lita who appears not once, but twice in the company’s new video game WWE ’13, which heavily features the Superstars, Divas and storylines from the Attitude Era.

Speaking of the history making era in the WWE, they asked Lita what was her favourite moment from that time which she was involved in.

I could make a laundry list. I think the first thing for me that was definitely Attitude Era–based and my first really main storyline with WWE was with Eddie Guerrero & Chyna vs. myself & Essa Ríos. [I was] the first woman Chyna interacted with, and to be in there with them was great. They had their funny story going on, and you never knew what my story was with Essa Ríos, so that was one.

Talking about the Attitude Era Divas compared to the Divas of today, Lita said:

I think the women of The Attitude Era really did a good job at figuring out who they were and what they wanted to portray to the fans. So each woman was such an individual — you were never going to get Lita and Ivory confused. You’re not going to get the two confused, as opposed to now, is it the hot athletic girl with the short shorts on? No, it’s the other hot athletic girl with the short shorts on. It was about setting yourself apart.

And the Diva she picked who’d fit in best in the Attitude Era was the former General Manager of RAW, AJ Lee.

I think it’s interesting to see the Divas of today and to see who the fans are attaching to. Obviously, right now, it’s AJ Lee, who’s not the strongest; she’s not one of those classically hot chicks. But she sets herself apart, and you have emotion when she’s out there and you get a sense of who she is, and so I think that’s really cool to see the kid that wasn’t supposed to make it being the one that’s out there, and that’s who the fans want to know more about.

You can read the rest of the interview on WWE.com here.

Lita & Cameron Backstage for Night of Champions

Word on the street is that former WWE Women’s champion Lita is backstage for tonight’s pay-per-view, Night of Champions. There is no word yet if Lita is backstage just visiting, or if she will have any part in the show. The former Diva who returned in July for RAW’ iconic 1000th episode to defeat Heath Slater, was also one of the latest ‘Attitude Era’ Divas to be revealed for WWE’s next video game, WWE ’13. Check out her entrance and finisher below:

Also, apparently Cameron Lynn‘s suspension has come to an end and she too is backstage for tonight’s big show.

10 Divas in Need of Anger Management

Daniel Bryan and Kane are currently in anger management, so WWE.com ranked the ‘Top 10 Superstars in Need of Anger Management’. So, with AJ flipping her lid on RAW last night and with there being no Divas included in the list, I thought it was only right we take a look at ten of the most angry, short tempered Divas of all time with our very own ‘Top 10 Divas in Need of Anger Management’ list!

————————————————————————————————————————————————

#10 – ROSA MENDES

The fiery latina Rosa Mendes does have a very short temper, but she wasn’t always the beautiful raven haired manager of Primo and Epico, oh no – Rosa Mendes was insane, off her rocker and always assaulting other WWE Divas. When in FCW, Rosa Mendes cranked up the crazy each and every day going as far as stealing the Queen of FCW crown from then champ Angela Fong. Rosa made her WWE debut by jumping over the fan barricade and launching herself at Melina! This lady is volatile, don’t mess with her!

Goldust’s Favourite Women Wrestlers

Former WWE Superstar Dustin Rhodes – better known to everyone as Goldust - recently just took to his Twitter page to answer fans questions about his favourite wrestlers, and his top lists of wrestlers – this included the women too!

When quizzed about the WWE Divas division, Goldust commented on his five WWE Divas right now, past and his favourite Divas of all time. His top five current WWE Divas are the current reigning WWE Divas champion, Layla, RAW General Manager AJ Lee, Eve Torres, Kaitlyn & Kelly Kelly. His top five past Divas include Trish Stratus, Lita, Jacqueline (who he also dubbed the greatest heel Diva), Bertha Faye & himself – Goldust! But his favourite Divas of all time are Vickie Guerrero and former Divas Brie and Nikki Bella, The Bella Twins.

He then went on to say his top five women wrestlers are current WWE Diva Natalya, Sara Del Rey, Madusa (Alundra Blayze), Bull Nakano and Hall of Famer Sherri Martel. Speaking of Natalya, someone asked him what he thought of her and he said she is “a beautiful wrestler.”

Moving onto the TNA Knockout side of things, Goldust listed his top five Knockouts as Christy Hemme, Madison Rayne, Tara, TNA Knockouts champ Brooke Tessmacher and former Knockout, Velvet Sky. He also said Angelina Love is in his top ten.

What do you think of Goldust’s lists?
