Flavor Of the Month – April Edition!

Flavor Of the Week is back….. with a twist! Since WWE.com has all but abandoned the Saturday Triple Threat (replacing it with ONE featued Diva or “special” Diva Focuses such as ‘never-before-seen’ photos and ‘best of’ galleries), and Knockout photoshoots have been slagging drastically, Flavor Of the Week is now known as ‘Flavor Of the Month‘! The same rules apply. You vote for the shoot you liked the best this month. The shoot with the most votes will be crowned as ‘Flavor Of the Month‘. Easy peasy, am I right? ;)

BUT! The fun doesn’t stop there! At the end of the year we will combine all Flavors Of the Month into one giant poll to determine who will be ‘Flavor Of the Year‘!

This month we were treated to shoots from Aksana, Brie Bella, Kaitlyn, Rosa Mendes, Tamina Snuka, Angelina Love, Trish Stratus, Audrey Marie, Charlotte, Emma, Paige, Sasha Banks, Summer Rae, Miss Tessmacher, A.J. Lee, Gail Kim, Mickie James, ODB, So Cal Val, Tara, Taryn Terrell and Velvet Sky. Be sure to click on the thumbnails to view the full shoot!

Poll and thumbnails are behind the cut!

Mickie James on juggling wrestling and music

Mickie James recently spoke to Fame magazine about juggling her wrestling career with music and the parallels between the two.

The official video for Mickie’s latest single ‘Somebody’s Gonna Pay‘ was released last week, which co-starred WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus and TNA star Magnus. It was also Mickie’s first music video. “It was wonderful to have so many of my friends join me in front of the camera,” she said. “The fact that Trish and [Magnus] took time out of the schedules to take part in it made it something very special. I wanted to create a video that would really showcase this song for my fans – and Blake did a brilliant job helping me bring that to life.”

“There are tons of parallels as far as your confidence and your ability to be able to tell a story, both within wrestling and within music,” she added. “With wrestling, you’re running on raw passion and adrenaline. With music, your emotions are more present and your heart goes more into it.”

Brooke Tessmacher on wrestling: “I learn something new each time”

Brooke Tessmacher recently spoke to Wrestling Rhamble about her progress in wrestling.

She mentioned that she watches wrestling matches, while making note to use what she learns elsewhere. “I watch every Knockouts match I can and some of the guys’ ones too,” she said. “I take mental notes and use that knowledge where I can. I learn something new every time and it helps me as a wrestler.”

While progressing, Brooke knows that she is among a very talented Knockouts roster and acknowledges them for helping her from the start. “I must admit even though I started out in a tag (with Tara), I am a singles wrestler at heart. I do prefer that. Winning the titles was wonderful and I will never forget the experience.” She said. “I do also owe a great deal to Tara for helping me out at the start,” she added.

“The challenge now is to keep up your momentum and climb back up that ladder,” she continued. “We have such a lot of talented girls and I have only a few hundred matches (at most) compared to their thousands. It makes you stay on top of your game and work harder to know that.” On possibly becoming the Knockouts champion for a third time, she said: “The way I think about it is there can only ever be one TNA Knockout’s Champion and I want to be her.”

Brooke also discussed what future plans she has, outside of wrestling. “I don’t know what the future may hold. I do think I’d like to try acting though. Maybe I can get some sexy roles like Carmen Electra does. After I take some acting classes and work hard I’d like to be in a position to do things like Trish Stratus. She has been able to juggle acting with her other business ventures,” she said.

Watch Online: Somebody’s Gonna Pay music video

The official music video for TNA Knockout Mickie James’ single Somebody’s Gonna Pay is finally here.

In the video, fellow TNA star Magnus plays the part of the scumbag character, while Hall of Famer Trish Stratus is a barmaid cheering up Magnus’ heartbroken ex. It’s quite a simple video with a good story to it – also with a chick kick delivered for good measures!

Marcella Invades WrestleMania 29: The Metropolitan Edition

Welcome to the return of Marcella Invades a WWE PPV!

Here’s the skinny for those of you who have forgotten about my ppv coverage. It’s live coverage, well as live as it can be considering my internet. Enough games, let’s get to business.

Stephanie McMahon makes her glorious return to the WWE by standing on the stage with the coalition for the Special Olympics. It is quite wonderful to see WWE partner with such a great cause. Could we see more of Steph at Wrestlemania? I sure hope so.

DING DING DING!!! AJ Lee makes her second manager appearance at a Wrestlemania. Dolphy and her kiss, and oh snap, it looks like a repeat of last year! Um, no. It didn’t work this time. Anyways, AJ tries to be a crazy, devious lady, but to no avail. Her team lost!

Oh no, it’s a swarm of Fandango dancers. I’m frightened. I am still holding out hope for Maxine to return and beat these dancers up and Fandango up.  Yes, I’m that mean.

Well, it’s time for the Hall of Fame people to come out. I always love this part of Wrestlemania. Trish Stratus is there with the rest of the Hall of Fame class. Don’t they all look lovely?! I’m in such a good mood that I complimented Donald Trump. Trish does her signature POINTING and keeps rubbing her pregnant belly. I know the Royals are so utterly happy and pleased for her. Yes,  Marc is so happy for her. I know, you all should be scared.  That reminds me of the video they played of the Hall of Fame Ceremony. Sharmell looked divine!

Umm, what? HAI John Cena…but um where’s the BELLA ARMY with Cody Rhodes? Tell me they just did NOT scrap the Mixed Eight Persons Tag match with Naomi, Cameron, Brie, and Nikki!!!! I’m so irate. Oh well, I will get over it as I’m sleepy.

On the brightside, they may get more time on Raw to have this match.

Plus, Extreme Rules  is near my birthday.

Overall, I’m pleased that the Shield won. I should be LIVID that CM Punk lost, but really…..no one will beat the Undertaker. Nothing really impressed me much.  I feel bad for all my fellow Metropolitan Area fans that went to Wrestlemania. They must be livid having to pay such HIGH prices to sit there watching it.  I have to say, I’m content with paying $60 to watch it from home.

Anyways, here’s to hoping for the best in the build up to Extreme Rules.

BREAKING: Stephanie McMahon To Induct Trish Stratus!

It’s official: Trish Stratus‘ Hall Of Fame inductor has been revealed…. and to the shock and dismay of those who were expecting it, it’s not Lita! Last night the 7x Women’s Champion took to her Twitter to ask another very important figure in her career: Stephanie McMahon!

To which Stephanie replied:

Stephanie was the very first feud Trish had during her time in the company, which in a way makes more sense. Their infamous ‘Daddy’s Little Girl vs. the Mistress’ feud in 2000-2001 launched Trish into superstardom. We couldn’t think of a more fitting choice!

Trish Stratus: “Lita to induct me into HOF? I wouldn’t disagree.”

2013 Hall of Fame inductee Trish Stratus recently did an interview with MOS Radio to discuss her induction.

She also mentioned that she would be happy with former WWE Diva and long-time rival during their time with the company, Lita being the person to induct her at the ceremony.

“Funnily enough, before I done this interview, I put a poll on my website, asking who would my fans like to see induct me into the Hall of Fame. Lita won with a landslide, I would say, I can’t disagree with that sentiment.”

“It’s a real honor to be included in this class, the names are just unbelievable, and to be included with them are such an honor. There are only a few women that have ever been inducted into the Hall of Fame and to be included on that list is just so humbling.”

The entire interview, where Trish talks about the other Hall of Fame inductees, is over at MinistryOfSlam.com.

Mickie debuts new track: Somebody’s Gonna Pay – Listen here!

After a whole lot of anticipation and Kickstarter pledges, Mickie James has released a new single, Somebody’s Gonna Pay and looks to release her album of the same name very soon.

A music video for the song has been filmed and will feature former WWE Diva Trish Stratus and TNA stars Jeff Jarrett and Magnus.

Mickie released her debut album, Strangers and Angels, in mid-2010 before hopping over to TNA later that year. She released a new track as her TNA theme, Hardcore Country, which will feature on her new album. Fans may remember Mickie’s Kickstarter campaign to partially fund her second album – a massive success with $16,500 worth of pledges, well over her initial $5,000 goal!
